  2. The flat bag carries all my emergency gear-extra fleece, socks, gloves, SPOT beacon and medical kit. The back bag carries my snow bunjie, shovel, saw and oil. Keep those with me all the time. The combo bag for touring was the challenge. Worked well.

  7. The great thing you do for the Ladies David is create Quality on the trips and don't worry about Quantity (miles) on these trips to make it a perfect week! With that said Thank you for another perfect week.

  8. Hi RR and company. Another adventure for the books. Most of can't even imagine what it is like out in the bush and you have only your fellow riders to depend on for anything that could possibly come up. We wish you the best of the best during the journey. Jack & Sandi

Big problem with the new website it does not resize the pictures for you, you are on your own for that. Here's what I've been doing to resize them, emailing them to myself, after tapping on Send button the IPhone will list a few optional sizes to choose from. Remember the upload limit is 4.88 mb so choose accordingly to how many pics you want to post in one post. If there is anyone else that knows another way to resize IPhone pics please do chime in.

  11. Always a place to see lots of snow! I think I have only been there 2x when the houses weren't covered to the eaves. In 2015-16 they had the least snow I had ever seen in March though.

  17. The team has arrived safe and sound at Pourvoirie Kanawata. Trails were very good, a little soft this morning around Mont Laurier but improved rapidly to the north. Lunch at Lu-Nic. Fabulous club sandwiches. Dick and Sam stickers being applied everywhere.

    Hard work.

Haven"t skated in about 50 years but that looks cool! Like the idea of stopping at the slopes to find a rich old widow first. mike

    Hard work.

This made me laugh. I raised 5 boys. Had to teach them all to ski, I figured out by the 3rd one if you give them a little push at the top of the hill the smart ones figured it out pretty quick. What a gong show getting everyone ready to go to the hill, By the time I got everyone dressed, loaded the Suburban, Sorted skis and pole, boots on etc etc. By the time I had everyone's skis pointed down the mountain I would be so aggravated it would be happy hour before I'd get my sense of humour back. First of January we went to Panorama B.C. Skiing with 3 of the kids, they are grown up now so much more enjoyable time. Modern ski boots have a major design flaw. Wife can't get hers on either. Was going to tell her to lose some weight might help, thought better not when she had a ski pole in her hand. I put a wrap of Saran Wrap around her foot and slid into boot much easier. Only advantage of a ski hill is much better chance of finding some rich old widow that could possibly finance future sledding trips. Seems like you have to humour woman a bit to do what we really want to do: SLED. Just last week took my wife to Mont Laurier for a few days to ride. BUT on route we had to stop in Ottawa to skate the Rideau Canal. For those not familiar with the Canal in the winter they plow and flood 7 km that winds through the down town. Of course the only place could find parking for the truck and 4 place trailer was at the very south end of the canal. Had to skate up hill the full 7 km to get to the down town center by the parliament buildings, then another 7 km back for 14 km round trip. High light was stopping at one of the shacks they have right on the ice for some Poutine. If you like skating it actual is a neat experience . Well back to packing my saddlebags for next weeks boys trip to the Gaspe

  20. Friday we went to the truck stop for a great lunch via 93 to 328, back to 93, then took 367 to local trail to St Jeanne de Arc for gas, then 93 to 900 to 902. After a great lunch back on 902, across the Peribonka to 367 to 553 to 23, then 562. Stopped at DRC in Alma as Joe need appointment to have his exhaust valve checked. The 383 to 83 and back to Delta. Total of 215 miles. Most miles I've ridden since my accident. Great trails all day. Saturday we went to Auberge Eva for lunch. Came back by way of St Andre to 23 to 368 to 383. Total of 190 miles. Again trails were great.. Friends came in that had been going to the Gaspe but saw the forecast and high tailed it up here to avoid the big storm. Took to day off, Doctor told me I'd been going hard the past week and needed to rest a day. Went to a brunch for the benefit of the Saguenay Diabetes Foundation. 182 and Ginger left for NJ about 12 noon.

    Hard work.

You are preaching to the choir with me anyway. I get it. Hey whatever works for others. We had a new guy on a sled trip once. He never saw a snowmobile before that trip. He says "I ski, the snowmobile has skis how hard can it be?" It was a long week.

  23. Three of the guys, on the crew, lead by early rider, and 3 others, spent this weekend exploring the best routes from Lab to Sept Isle, Port Carter or Gabriel. They went equipped and found lots of snow!

Just wanted to let fellow Quebec riders know that we stayed here last weekend and were very happy with the accommodations. We parked the truck and trailer there for 3 days and saddlebagged. The owner provides a nice breakfast and with the electric gate and cameras it appears to be a nice safe location. Please support the new owners as they support us riders, one hand washes the other. 603
