  1. If Bill chimes in here I'm sure he will point out all my problems getting my '15 800 etec started even in 20f temps that's when the phrase "Florida snowmobile" was coined And believe me, he WAS sure to use it EVERY time it wouldn't start....

Quebec is a big place. Lots of wonderful folks. Take the proper precautions and enjoy your ride.

  6. Yes we usually do ride with Ed W and 603 Back country. Also, we had a very nice ride today from Levis to the Maine border below Armstrong. We took 75 all the way and it was near perfect. It always amazes me what they can do with a snow storm. We ran some similar areas earlier in the week and they were worn down very thin in places. Riding in The Chaudierres is looking really good

  7. I am now in RDL and between the drive up through Maine and through New Brunswick it appears conditions should be awesome. I hope to be here the next twelve days, the first of at least 3 trips this winter. Please, whenever you may be up this way try to give out up to the minute conditions during the winter. You would be surprised how many people want to know before making that long drive. Hope to see many of you over the coming months. mike

    New to Quebec

And having that extra day in there is very important for 3 things. Big snowstorm, or a breakdown, or a rainstorm (yes it can rain in Quebec).

I have often thought that with a few mods and a good cleaning one of these would make an excellent incognito sled hauler. What low life is going to risk jail time for a truck load of used beer and burritos?

  12. Believe it or not: One of the guys that works for me has a brother that used his lighter one night to see how much "oil" based paint was in 6 gallon tub on a paint machine. Lucky for him, there was only enough oxygen in the tub for one quick mushroom flame. He had a lot of singed hair on his arm, eyebrows and forehead. He used a flashlight after that. Jack & Sandi

There is no fool proof plan unfortunately otherwise everyone would do it and the thieves wouldn't be in business. We travel to a lot of different areas. We try to make our equipment harder to take than the next one. Boots, chains, clubs, fuel shut off, relays, the fake Quebec license plates, the very hungry German Shepard in the front seat, a live grenade under the front wheel, etc. Park where you feel safe, do what you can to protect your equipment and then like Markusvt says, "Enjoy the Ride". We have been hit by thieves three times over forty years. Each time we learn a little more about what to do. It could happen tomorrow but that thought isn't going to ruin something we love to do. 19. The loop we did was great for the first week of January , Zenon , 63 west to 53 north to get to Mekoo's . 53 north to 83 east to Parent all great . Parent east to 345 as good as it gets really . Trail into Gouin off the 83 is already in super shape ! 345 south to Repo sweet as normal using the road south from Kanawata . Ran the lakes along the 33 to SMDS , little slush plenty of ice. The standard walleye and then a veal option were presented for us at Gouin. only 2 others to brave the cold there ,Todd the tree guy and Richard the crane guy Cheers

  23. As posted above they say they are closed for January only. No need for the shuttle if you want to ride on the east side of the seaway, just drive 10 minutes more and stay in one on the 4+ places in Levis.

Yup, wife and one other couple. Plan on spending Thursday and Sunday nights at universal, and Fri and sat nights at riotel in matane. Will try to slide over to Groomers neighborhood one day. Make sure you're not only scouting the trails for us this week, but also the wine selection!

Pants, jacket, socks and gloves. She wears it as a mid layer and everything links together and is controlled by a rheostat knob I mounted on the handlebars. It is made by First Gear if I can I will find a link
