  1. while creating the card online, double sided was an option for about the same price as two separate cards, so i got the double sided, 1000 of them. I'll mail some to a few key distributors who can further pass them on to other QR members to hand out, just PM me...

  2. A man’s got to know his limitations. After the fire and loss of Forsythe certainly its a whole new ballgame. That said its not a trail to be taken lightly and must be respected as you are truly alone out there. It’s not a trail to go ride in a storm and if you ride and don’t check things like the weather before you head out then you are not so smart. Also after a storm while breaking trail may be fun for a while, that is not the trail to do it on with the limited gas stops. The forest is growing back but many parts are still like a moonscape and finding the trail after a dump of snow can be quite challenging. 83 headed out to Sebeterre is a trail to ride mid to late season not early. But do whatever you want. Been there done that and even got the t-shirt. Take it for what it is worth.

  9. IT IS NOT THE WAY THE AMERICANS REALLY FEEL OR WANT THINGS. Post this garbage / your opinion on a political forum - not Quebec Rider. You don't speak for me. Enough said. Thank you.

  10. I would proudly buy any Canadian QuebecRider member a drink while enjoying their fine friendship and good conversation. mike Maybe our leaders should try this instead of tariffs!

  11. Forsythe has been gone a long, long time. The lodge was awesome, the trailers you slept in not so much. It was convenient for gas and being in the middle of Balbuzard and Lac Faillion it was perfect. Balbuzard was hit or miss, no great loss IMHO. As Don said, the moonscape can be a challenge. Windblown to dirt in 1 corner and a 20 foot drift in the other. Later in the year is better for sure. Unforgiving place if you have an issue. The closet road and town is not that close.

  12. I would still be interested in this. It looks like a group of us plan on being at Drakkar 2/13 - 2/18. So I think we should try and do something. Set up some nice day rides and It would be great if we had the whole hotel and we just had some good food and drinks brought in during the evenings and everyone have fun with Reggie and Nancy in the lobby. Sounds like a great way to meet some new riders/friends and show support to a great couple/business that really backs us snowmobilers.

First, I like member Cnc's suggestion of a card for us to pass on to other English speaking sledders we meet in Quebec asking them to join our fine group and to post on QR. Adding to that, I would suggest a 4 part strategy to raise money. 1. Members hand out QR cards to English speaking sledders we meet while in Quebec (or elsewhere) to get them to check out the site, 2. Increase the contributing membership from $25 to $35 yearly. 3. Encourage more of our senior/long time members to become contributing members 3. Have the Admins of QR make a post once a month during the peak season to remind people they can become contributing members to help out the site (Sort of like a pledge drive) and will only take a couple minutes time of the Admins. Having new members who hopefully may become paying members, a yearly increase, and getting some of our current members to contribute may be far easier to raise money and far less complicated and far more successful than getting businesses on board. Think about how many non members -English speaking sledders we meet each day out in the parking lot of the hotel or at the bar at night. Just hand them a card and tell them to check out QR. Remember, the Admins probably already have full time jobs that pay the bills, and QR is done by them on their spare time. mike

Question, is you intention only to distribute to businesses or establishments in hopes of increasing your advertising base?, or if worded right and bilingual it could also be used as a tool to increase membership by passing along a card to fellow riders. Living in Quebec and with that idea in mind I would see bilingual cards would be a better option.

  18. Come on Playhard, Ice, pipeman, Gutz....... Don't you know that Drakkar is not a place anyone would want to stay at......... Don't send them there! (That is actually a lie, it is the best place, but I don't want everyone to know because It will be getting harder and harder to get a room there when I need it!)
