Martin is a cool , off the beaten path kinda place. Rustic yes, but food and hospitality are great ! Cabins only,no lodge. We have a group of 8 staying there in January. First time we headed there the groomer was down and it was a bitch getting there and we took a road back to Clova the next morning. I believe it's just under 30 miles from Clova

They started clearing brush this week on the new by pass from Tremblant to St Faustin that will reconnect Tremblant to St Agathe. It runs along side of the 117.

Great place on the westside of the Gouin , Line is a great host .. But make sure she knows your coming by , not a lot of rooms there . 514 316 4721

Another option could be to head north a bit to Martins for a rustic adventure stay

Nice itinerary A little tip, when leaving Barrage Gouin heading towards Obedjewan not far past it maybe 10 or 15 k heading towards Clova for the counterclock wise loop you’ll see a high mountain on your right, sticks out like sore thumb. Look for the trail that’ll bring you to the summit, awesome views and wild fruit for a snack.

Well it looks like I will be heading up for a side x side trip this Friday. I will be following another Quebec rider around up there starting this Friday for 10 days. He planned and organized everything. (Thanks Chris). Starting a roughly 1200 mile loop from Rabaska. Belinda and I are very excited to see where the trails will take us. Problem is keeping her from packing everything but the kitchen sink!

we did a slow drive of the entire trajectory of the new trail today, the hydro-axe work is almost finished, there is a considerable amount of excavation and modification the needs to be done in several places, but all in all the trail is right along the north-east side of the #117 highway... the groomer will actually fit quite well between the "wall" of stone on the upper portion of the morrison hill....👍
