  1. Well we were up for 4 days of riding and to break in the new sled with 1100 km. Only one off trail adventure and no one was injured in that unexpected experience.. As for trail condition 23 was bumpy to l'tape but good north to hebertville , all lower LSJ is just passable . L'tuque. north to is ok not great and the trail from relais 22 to hedgewick has the first 20 km torn up by bulldozer for some logging. You have to go more north of LSJ. to get good snow,we stuck mostly to the west side and did the tour of the 49 th. passere // e du , big push on this year to promote this side of Mt. valin area. and definitely worth it.. MT. vilain was good and met some nice people.. Not the same crowd that you get on the west side.. GOOD to get out for the first time this year and meet CT rider to do the trip together .They are expecting 30 plus cm of new snow in next couple days ..We headed out before the freezing rain , just got a touch friday morning leaving hebertville .All is good can't wait to go again after this weather settles down..

  4. Keeping our fingers crossed, here is a pic 100 miles south of RDL in Allagash Maine, part of our gang having lunch there a couple of hours ago. We are going to try to cross at Escourt and take the newly opened trail down here for lunch one day on this trip. ❄️

  7. NO pictures were taken to show me upside down on my head.. the sled went off and i had to tread a fine line to ripe across two huge boulders that were buried but i kinda knew they were there , i rolled sled on side and it threw off in snow thank god.. nothing broken on me or sled. i needed help to get her right side , then had to go further down the hill to get turned up the hill , but this was not a problem for the expedition ...Thanks to those that stopped to help this old man.. We had a good time and both headed home last night.. before the freezing rain.. hope to hook up again at the end of the month..

  8. Hey I thought I'd share this, since I could not find anything on it. My brothers and I were testing the sleds prior to leaving for Quebec and everything worked fine..... (Famous Last Words). For the first day my brothers 900 Enduro worked great. On the morning of the second day he was clicking through the Modes and Settings on the dash and it had the Air Suspension and Accel Modes on the screen (something that was not uncommon) and he tried to increase his Air Ride to 3 from 2 and it did not change, it also seems to have turned the thumbwarmer on to High. We then had no access to any function on the Dash. But the sled started and ran normally. We tried pulling the dash, disconnecting the battery, disconnected the AR, Even stopped at a dealer and they scanned it with BUDs. They could not reset it, change it and said it MAY need a new dash (They were closing up and did us a favor). I did some Google'ng and found nothing. other than how to adjust the Accel mode. My brother read several of the same articles and they all referenced the Green Key. So as a last ditch effort he attached the green key started the sled, it reset, he shut it off, then with the regular key connected, restarted it again and it was back to normal, everything worked. So IF something similar happens give the Green Key a try! Later GutZ

    Riding for Neil

Very sad day for me and the legions of Rush fans the world over. Late yesterday it was announced that drummer, lyricist & author Neil Peart died on Tuesday after a 3+ year battle with brain cancer. Wether or not your a Rush fan the world lost a profound and gifted musician and drummer. Anyone who knows me knows besides family and friends that the two most pleasurable things in life for me are (and always have been) my love and passion for snowmobiling and my all time favorite band Rush. So last trip I was riding for and dedicated the trip to my beloved cat "Peanut" on her journey to kitty heaven. Today's starting ride will be dedicated to Neil and Rush. Thank you for the 40+ year's of music that has brought so much joy to myself and millios around the world. You will be sorely missed. In St Jean de Martha this early a.m.. and myself and 3 dear friends are driving an hour up the road to LeCabanon to launch. 75 miles from there to the camp and other northern Lanaudiere destinatios over the next 4 days. I just went out for a morning smoke and the trucks (and everything else) are coated with freezing rain and ice.Not something you want to see but everyone knew was coming. Hopefully today's shitstorm won't be as bad as they are saying. I won't be posting my normal trail reports as we have no internet access at the cabin but will try and get a pic or two out and trail report as we will be in Parent on Monday night. Have a SAFE weekend fellow trail shredders !

  14. It looks like the Mayor may have to get a bigger room for all of the guests and a bigger bottle of wine. If the snow isn't good, the wine will be. Jack & Sandi

  16. Hi Jack, Joe and I should arrive tomorrow afternoon also. Hopefully it will be good. Someone I won't mention by name said the wine will be good regardless of snow conditions. mike

    Gear bag

Look at the pictures on the Amazon page, it shows the bag wore as a back back. Gives you roughly the size of it.

  21. Holy shiot. I have known Sylvie for 10 years. Stayed there many times, and rode sleds with her a few times. If you watch the video of news footage, at the 50 second mark, that's our crew. That pic is from 2012.

    Riding for Neil

Once more thing before we go Guy and his wife riding two up just came in from Kanawata where they stayed last night. They report no rain until st Michele and already 7-8 inches in Kanawata and ,,4-5 inches at Repos Personally I would wait 2-3 for storm and grooming to produce OPTIMAL trail conditions Hit it then and you will NOT be disappointed PEACE

    Western Run

DooRight, I was actually wondering if you guys were headed up the 355 and had been kind of watching for your group, noticed the guys on the Gen 4s sitting still that intersection, but didn’t notice you guys! Have a safe run. We arrived back at the Roquement early afternoon, had a great trail riding trip this week out West. With our long cut up to Poirevoire Goiun on the first day, we logged in 1275 miles for the trip. With a foot plus of snow coming to RDL tomorrow, a few of us are thinking that’s a good area for next week. We get to go have a glass of wine with Mike rider! Happy trails RR
