Bob, we were some of the fortunate to catch good ice in the 1990’s and rode out to the rock. The real funny thing was, it all depended on which way the winds was blowing. You could be there one day and it was frozen in, the next day the ice coule be gone and wide open water

bonsoir !!! back from the lake...friend called me this morning and offered to go to camp .....vroooooooooooooooooooommm !!! 3 deer in a field , 1 mile before the farm .....then while riding .....1 mom + calf and bull... too slow to remove camera from bag....missed mom and kid very poor conditions......can hear ding-ding-ding -ding ding !!!.....very often !!! jean-guy

every one knows where it is , a very rare year where it was frozen and you could walk out to really see it, some actually drove their sleds out , about 20 years ago.

Iceman, Certainly is going to be a frustrating year. I suspect the new sled sales north of the border were very good just like south of the border for 2021 models. The snow conditions, remind me of the open winters we had in the early 1980’s! With such a slow start to the season regarding depth of snow and the Covid. There most likely be lots of slightly used 2021 sleds kicking around this spring and next fall. Certainly has to be concerning for the sled manufacturers and the 2022 lineup. In addition to the snowmobile manufacturers,, the impact on the State and Provencial clubs and organizations, Poirevoire’s, hotels and restaurants, , has to be a concern for all of us who have a passion for this industry. Certainly a microcosm of the challenges faced everywhere, but the overall impact of Lockdowns and lack of snow will hit close to home for us in this sector for a few years to come.

Yes, Margot and “Gator” were awesome hosts, really enjoyed to overnight with them.

That's the one, just west of Saint Anne des Mont. The trail has changed and does not go by the bus now. First time I saw a picture of the bus it was taken by Rob Lyons back in the early days of HCS.

Did you return in the summer Bob and go kite flying off the cliff here? First two times did the loop we came from the west and missed this look out. Last trip we came from the east and fortunately found this outlook. Much better view and more to see then from the west side of the valley.

Best bread ever, Fluffy bathrobe ( I wanted to take it home but could not fit it anywhere in the sled😄), Hot fresh made cappuccino ( ask GT Rider how good it was😂), scrumptious dinner , beautiful cabin with hot tub overlooking the lake. One of the nicest place we ever stayed at. One of my best memories with my wonderful husband!

Back in 08 we stayed at Fleur de Lys. The owner had a bunch of old pics with sleds out at the Rock (I had no idea it could be done). He said it didn't freeze up like that in many years. He mentioned that the road crews could not dump snow into the water anymore because of the salt. He said that it made it challenging clearing the roads in high snow years.

As a matter of fact land in Florida looks pretty good right now with this weird Winter we're having!

Gaetan and Margot were great and I remember them cooking for us at 10 one night when we limped in there at -40. My battery froze that night and he helped us out the next day, great place!!

The trail to this mountain top was only for advanced riders and was eventually closed, it was even difficult going down, and not possible to groom, today's long tracks can do it and off trail guys go there all the time, where am I??

Once someone said Bistro St Zenon, I recognized it immediately, ate there many times, really liked that place, it has been closed for so long and it was a great facility, everything that way closed with the park, really too bad.
