    Say it aint so, Joe.

Why didn’t sleepy Joe just shoot a hellfire from a drone under that Texas bridge. Then use the same narrative as when they killed the innocent Afghans? Just stand up proudly and announce we have avoided a terrorist bombing. Then simply a few weeks later quietly announce ooops sorry wrong target. Not only this but the only people doing their jobs the CBP agents get thrown under the bus. Joe says there will be consequences for the mounted patrol guys. What? He sides with everyone other than US citizens. Where’s the consequences for Afghanistan?

I think with a well positioned throttle you could make it on that motor cycle.

  4. Yeah Ontario went through this a few years ago. Aging fleet and no plan to replace it with the majorityof the equipment being closer to 15 years old. They ended up overhauling the entire provinces funding model. Pooled all permit money, started paying clubs based on hours groomed (something like $75 an hour), a small amount per km of trail they had, some money for admin and then kept the balance to buy new equipment. Started buying groomers in bulk and distributing them across the province. They also fund major repairs to units that made sense from this fund. Big kicker in it was a reduction in the total number of units in operation to make the math work on replacement on an ongoing basis. It's worked, but I wouldn't say it's perfect. The fleet reduction is arguably not the best thing to occur, but was done in the name of utilization and efficiency. Will be interesting to see if Quebec goes down this road. For fleet procurement I can't see it not being beneficial to pool resources and buy in bulk. FCMQ is currently putting $14 a permit into a groomer replacement fund. This will be around $1,000,000 a season provincially. Probably 10% of what they actually need to be spending. The clubs will be funding the balance of the purchases under the current model. FCMQ is typically ahead of everyone else, but I think it could be argued that Ontario has jumped ahead on this issue. Interesting to see how much equipment the FCMQ has in operation.

  9. I too am leaning towards Maine again this winter I usually do 3 to 5 trips to Canada and testing is expensive. On the news today, one of Maine's large statewide healthcare providers is discontinuing doing testing for travelers, stating they are flooded with doing tests for sick people and workers who must be tested. They also said there is starting to be a shortage of test kits. I also heard test results are not always coming back in a timely manner. I am also worried about catching Covid in Quebec and being hospitalized. Check your health insurance. When in Canada, my coverage only pays for the hospital to stabilize me enough to ship me to the U.S. Not sure who pays for the ambulance ride. But if you feel comfortable going to Quebec, by all means you should. It is still the best. mike

  10. Will NY drivers get points? https://dmv.ny.gov/tickets/about-nys-driver-point-system Out-of-state convictions If you are convicted of a traffic violation in another state or country, points are not added to your New York State driving record, unless the violation occurred in Ontario or Quebec. New York State has a reciprocal agreement with Quebec and Ontario. Traffic violation convictions that occur in these provinces are recorded on your New York State driver record, and the convictions have the same effect and carry the same points as convictions that occur in New York State. This can affect your driver violation point total and Driver Responsibility Assessment.
