  1. Now that the winter is drawing to a close, I'd like to compare notes. After getting a bad tank of gas that clogged my fuel filter and pump in Québec this winter, I'm just wondering if anyone else had any kind of similar problem or if mine was an isolated issue? Please post your experiences on any kind of fuel related problem here.
  2. The problem I had in January was caused by bad gas purchased at Saint-Ludger de Milot. The fuel filter and pump were totally clogged with grit.. This on a brand new sled with just a few hundred miles on it. I suspect the station had just switched over to ethanol blended fuel and was having an issue with grit and sediments. I have just recently learned how extensive this problem is, both here in the states and also in Canada. Since this happened I have been much more careful about where I buy my gas, trying to use only high-volume stations. In addition I have been using regular instead of premium, as I believe premium ends up sitting in the station's tank much longer because it sells slower.
  3. For what it is worth, I think you are just giving him what he was looking for. Remember, NH Vector is a Yamaha rider also. Brand bashing is all fine and dandy, and I've done my share of it over the years also. But I don't think this site is the proper place for it. And I certainly feel that if you are going to bash, you shouldn't feel the need to hide your identity. This was a pretty poor effort.
  4. Frenchyetech registered today and has the same IP address as NH Vector, 75.147.45.89 NH Vector is Kris Kris, I don't know what your problem is, but if you have something to say to me, please say it directly. Don't try to hide behind a fake name and phony French.
  5. That is kind of scary. But I'm not surprised.
  6. Great report Andy, thanks for posting
  7. I think I'm limited to one of those per sled. Not exactly getting off to a flying start this year
  8. Yes, it was the fuel pump. Wayne didn't have it in stock, hopefully it won't take too long.
  9. We were planning on going 'round the Lake until my sled crapped out.. I think it is possible, there is plenty of snow on NW side around Dolbeau.
  10. Good advice, and the most important consideration in choosing a camera for snowmobiling.
  11. That brings back some memories!
  12. Saguenay Bill and I will be at the Holiday on or about January 9 depending on the weather.
  13. Unfortunately, many if not all of those pictures were lost after I sold hcs, and I've since changed computers several times, so I don't have a backup.
  14. DO NOT exchange funds in a bank in the states..they charge a premium. As mentioned, use a ATM card or go directly to a teller window at a Canadian bank to get the best rate.
  15. I have no problem at all. If you click on http://www.admdq.org/ you have the option of English or French by clicking on 'welcome' or 'bienvenue'. It is similar to this site if you go to the homepage at http://www.quebecrider.com/ where you find basically the same option.
  16. I am pleased to report that we have arranged a banner exchange with the AdmdQ. I am sure this will be of mutual benefit. Be sure to visit the AdmdQ site at http://www.admdq.org/ by clicking on their banner.
  17. Thanks for this update! A new trail with several scenic viewpoints is exciting.
