  1. Speedy recovery and take care Bill !
  2. Hi Towing! Very nice report! I was at Le Cabanon around noon for lunch. Back to the truck at 3PM. Salutations!
  3. I knew I had a similar picture. It was back in 2007. Not exactly the same section of the trail, but in the same area.
  4. Ok, not in the right section but many of you knows Le Cabanon...;-) Today I did my 3rd ride with my Assault. Total of 133 miles. I did the trail between Mattawin and Le Cabanon (St-Zenon). #360 and #345. Trail conditions were great except on the 345 where the snow cover was thinner, but no problems to ride. As usual, many trailers at Le Cabanon. I now have 310 miles on my SBA. A few stats: 9.4 hours, 25 US gall of gaz, 2.9 quarts of oil. Total break-in engine run time is 18hrs. Only 8,6 hrs left :-) ...I really like the sled: Engine is smooth and vibration free. The IGX rear suspension is surprisingly good. My 2 last sleds were Renegade X and TNT 600 ETEC (both with R-Motion) and I'm a big fan of Ski-Doo R-Motion rear skid ...this IGX 144 is really close. My friend got the '17 850 Renegade X... can't wait to compare the two rear suspensions during the same ride. This IGX doesn't have coupling blocs like the R-M (?). Also, the Ski-Doo got the TSL link at the top of the rear suspension which could be helpful to keep the track tension during full travel. Hummmm. Finally, I didn't have the opportunity to do a top speed test at his point lolll
  5. Yes, you can start right from Roquemont. 140km to l'Étape.
  6. I know it's not Saguenay Lac-St-Jean area but I have many friends here lolll. This is North of St-Raymond on trail #23. It's now groomed up to L'Etape. I don't know North of L'Etape, direction of LSJ. I'm very happy with the sled! Nice machine. 7,7 US gal of gas for the ride. Don't know about oil. Still on break-in mode. Next ride on Saturday
  7. HI bill, Hope to see you next season!! Pic of my ride yesterday, South of L'Etape Trans-Quebec #23. :-) HDen
  8. Hi mikerider, I remember meeting you during this trip! I hope to get back to Saguenay this season. Those pics were taken yesterday, I was between St-Raymond and L'Etape on Trans-Qebec trail #23. I will be riding this 2017 800cc Assault next season. HDen
  9. Pic #1: "Pic-du-dos-de-cheval" lookout on Bras Louis.
  10. Hi, The reason of the flashing check engine light was a bad coolant temperature sensor. Replaced with a new one... Thanks for your help, Bye, HDen
  11. I did a search on DooTalk. Many threads but no significant answer... Anyway, I'll bring it to the dealer to have it scanned tomorrow, and have the check engine light reset. Thanks, HDen
  12. Hi, I have a 2006 GSX with the 500SS engine. The check engine light is flashing (also called the EMS lamp). The battery was low so I put a brand new one on the sled with no succes. The sled have 12,000 km on the speedo. Sled is running fine, RPM is OK and it pulls correctly. All fuses are OK. Is there any relays I can check out? Thanks, HDen
  13. Glad to know you're back in Paradise! Thanks for the trail condition reports. Denis
  14. Hi Mustang00, "Chez Réal Massé" is now closed but La Glacière, Le Cabanon, Relais Rouge-Mattawin and many other places is this area are still open. Have a good week-end! HDen
  15. Hi Bill and Rob! Beautiful pics!! HDen
  16. Yep...a new helmet but now he really needs a new jacket... :D
  17. Hi Mike, Hope to see you also next winter in Chicoutimi area. What sled will you ride next season? HDen
  18. Salut Mid Range, Yes, throttle response is great! I'm very happy with the machine. First impressions are very good. We started from St-Raymond (in the woods) and we went in direction of Tourilli. Trails are not open yet, but enough snow to go with the groomer. The Club will decide it next week, depending if the weather stay cold. HDen
  19. I was ready for my first 4 stroke sled and my choice was the 2008 Polaris Switchback FST. I did 140 km yesterday and I'm very happy with my choice at this point. Here are 2 pics: HDen
  20. Of course trails ARE NOT OPEN and we rode mostly on log roads.
  21. Attention, Switchback 600 est mêlé pas mal. We did 100km yesterday and we started from Les Portes de l'enfer, about 10km North of L'Étape. There is NO SNOW at Relais du Nord in Stoneham! HDen
  22. Je suis une journée en retard mais j'en profite pour dire BONNE FÊTE ROB!!! HDen
  23. Hi Scorpionbowl, This parking lot is located at Onatchiway, right next to the entrance of the "private" Onatchiway Club. You have to pay to circulate on these trails network. Every week-ends, a lot of people from the Chicoutimi area drive the trucks/trailers and go to their camps on the Private Onatchiway Club. See map (yellow area on the top). HDen
