  1. I was thinking of the restaurant across the street from the Devils Hole, right on the corner, closer to the hotel.
  2. I was there last year. There is a micro brew house right across the street.
  3. Awesome. It's a good start. Need a little help. Can't remember the name of the restaurant right next to the Gouvernour .
  4. Looks like a great place. I assume they serve dinners and breakfast? Where are they located in relation to Chibougamau and Chapais?
  5. I used to carry quarts too for the same reason, then as my trips got longer I was running out of room for clothing. So I had a fabricator friend weld me up a couple aluminum boxes that sit on the running boards and I bolt them to the tunnel. Each box is the perfect size for a gallon of BRP oil, until they change the shape of the bottle.😂 Now I just carry 2 follows for anything over 4 or 5 days. And my wife doesn't need to carry her own oil either.
  6. I have found it easier to carry enough oil for the whole trip. Some gas stations carry OEM oils, some don't. I have made plans to stop in towns with a BRP dealer to buy oil, only to find out they are out of 2 stroke oil. Also a pain in the neck for the rest of the group that are riding 4 strokes. I'm looking at the new Sidewinder for my next sled. Main reason, won't have to carry oil.
  7. That's too bad. Stayed there for the first time last year. Was a really nice place with excellent food.
  8. Great news. Thanks Tom, for putting the time in and doing the research.
  9. Glad to support a great site. I don't post a lot, but really appreciate all the info from all the members and enjoy reading all the trip reports. Hope everyone has a great season.
  10. Great news. Definitely a helpful link on TQ83. Look forward to another stay there.
  11. Glad to hear. I'll check their FB page. Thanks for the info.
  12. I see Lac Faillon is on the 2016-17 map. Does that mean they will be open this winter? Has anyone been in contact with them to verify this?
  13. I've seen many pictures, but never been across that bridge. Where is it?
  14. I figured you'd be on a Sidewinder next. What didn't you like about the cat chassis, as I'm interested in the new Yamaha turbo. I would like to stop carrying 2smoke oil with me.
  15. Can you use the Nexus lane if you have a trailer and snowmobiles in tow?
  16. I don't think the Arctic cat will be a problem. I ride with a 1100 turbo often and he may take a liter or 2 more than my 800 etec after 100-120 miles. Sometimes they take the same amount of fuel.
  17. I wondered how I missed the pipeline when we rode north on 355 a few days earlier. The pipeline is 355, correct?
  18. We came through LaTuque on 73 on Monday Feb 15. Just south at the 73/355 intersection we took a left on 73 and it all seemed the same as previous years. Railtrail for miles all the way to the warming hut that's on the left hand side of trail. Must be no need for the detour any longer.
  19. Haha. Probably won't have any photo op's this time, as the wife is going on this ride. But hope to be back up in PQ in a few weeks for a longer ride.
  20. Thanks for the reports. We are booked at Club Odanak on our return from LSJ and wanted to make sure everything was good from Relais 22 south through LaTuque . Sounds like we're good to go. Hope to see the Hot Tuna at the 22.
  21. Thanks for the reply. We arrive there on the 12th. Glad we are still good to go. Any report on 355 north through LaTuque to Relais 22? Had heard of some logging and plowed trail on 73.
  22. Has anyone ridden out of the Gouvernour since the warm weather/rain? If so how bad was it, and how far north did you go before you saw good conditions?
  23. Thanks Iceman We have reservations for early Feb and wanted to make sure the river was rideable.
  24. Any chance of riding out of the Gouvernour anytime soon?
  25. We should be at the Universal around 6 or 7. Will stop in the bar for a drink before dinner.
