  1. As always, thanks for great report and pictures. It's nice to see that there are some good trail conditions. We wer up in riviere du loup 2/3-2/7/24, trails were very good. Pictures are on 2/4/24 on the sentier haricana (orange 🍊 trail) out of rdl.
  2. (year 2019) it was a colder year. rode across river from Cacouna to the L' Isle-Vert island. very cool, it was on our way back to RDL, getting dark had to make it quick as i did not want to cross the river in darkness. River was staked with pine branches, still a little scary. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/20190303_174336.thumb.jpg.a91b999247639e46c204d508e01d7b00.jpg
  3. Grand Riviere, at the Motel du Ravage. Bit of a strange place, rode from Murdochville, trail was getting real thin coming off the hill into the town area, getting dark no signs. met a guy at the gas station from the snowmobile club. He went to club house, got a Yamaha work sled and guided us into town, Much appreciated. us and 2 other sleds there. woke up in the middle of the night with some sketchy kids doing backwards doughnuts in the parking lot with a front wheel drive shit box of sorts. That year (2010) north shore area was deep snow, south shore trails very thin but passable. it was a trip of 2 extremes. good time.
  4. bessette's custom dual track sled at the riotel, this sled had a write up in SNOWTECH magazine. trail 5 at those 2 cabins somewhere, look out back in 2010
  5. isle vert trail back in 2010, always a fun start from RDL on 2006 polaris fusion 600's, same thing, ran them hard to the bar, sold it at 10000 miles, no problems.
  6. Just did my 7 day, you print it out right after you pay. Print at least 2 copies, keep one in a ziplock on you so you can quickly show when needed.
  7. Nice report, thanks for the photos. Good to see the area is open with good snow coverage. Those are some good routes you ran. We are heading up to RDL on the 3rd., can t wait.
  8. Great report, thanks again. its very nice to have real time snow conditions. especially this year as new york is mostly green grass.
  9. Hello Snowmaster2112, I live in the Hornell area and would like to talk to you sometime regarding your travels to Quebec this year. Give me a call some time if you are free, 607 776 2051 (work #)  thanks Nick

  10. Thanks for your reports, they are always much appreciated by everyone. Helps give us a real idea of what it's like up there. most all of New York is bare and frozen right now. Not that it matters much to me right now as I'm still waiting on a new Polaris 850 that I snow checked.❄️
  11. Kanawata, was there back in 2107, my 2012 - 600 polaris had 14000 miles on it and clutch was going bad, had to limp it back to Meekoos. Good times.
  12. Back in 2015 we stopped in on the way back to RDL, people were having fun, some local kids were out doing donuts in the parking lot with their geo tracker. The place was really comfortable, wood stove, couches and chairs to hang out in.
  13. hey mikerider, sorry to hear the clubhouse on tq 5 is closed. we used to like stopping there. Picture of table with moose or red deer leg was from there. I may have a picture later of our favorite lady that worked there from a few years back. will try to find picture of here. keep up the good reports.
  14. Mikerider, you are right. Good RDL insight. One of my stops i like to take a break on our way back to RDL.
  15. Here is a trivia question.... What clubhouse has this table??
  16. Thanks for the early reports. Snow pack looks great. Enjoy it while you are there. Back home is bare grass and mud.
  17. Will do. Thanks for the update. who would think that to much snow would be a problem. We may have to rethink our area, although I think most everywhere is pretty deep.
  18. Econo Lodge, right on the trail, gas station, st hubert's and ski doo across the street. Pretty good amount of parking.
  19. Nice report, blue skies are the best up in Quebec when it is clear out. Heading up this Friday for a week ride.
  20. We stayed at motel Blanchet in Nicolet 1st of Feb 2019, left truck and trailer there for a week no problem. My question is has any one rode out of La Cache a Maxime in the town of Scott in Chaudiere Appalaches area. How is truck & trailer parking and how is the trail out of the motel. is there side walk or road riding to be encountered? Heading up this friday to the area, any info would be great. Thanks.
  21. Glad to hear you made it okay. It's been a while since I crossed the bay, but when I did there was a few of pressure ridges that were marked. It's a great shortcut for sure. Ride safe. Heading up somewhere in Quebec Feb 1st. Can't wait.
  22. Thanks again for the great report. It amazing how the shawinigan river trail is holding up.
  23. Great to see such nice trails! Keep up the great reports.
  24. Breaking in my new 2017 leftover pro-s 800 around my house, 30 miles this past weekend. Hope to see you in Quebec this winter George.
  25. The Dura a Flex Ice Scratchers work great, I think any cable style scratcher ( some other brands out there now ) should work just fine. Here is a new item out there i just purchased that others might be interested in. On my 2017 Polaris Switchback there is not much, if any room to mount. Many other brands may have this problem. Check these out. Going to make for a clean install with no drilling. Just installed, check it out. https://www.onerigdesign.com/scratcher-skid-block
