  1. Jean Guy is all packed up heading home. His wife says time to come home so we can go on vacation!!!
  2. There are lots of great videos and pictures on Facebook.
  3. The guys only got 25 miles out of Schefferville and Serges transmission had a massive failure with a gear blowing a hole right through the case. They unloaded the sleigh put the dead sled on it and strapped all the gear onto the dead sled and other sleighs and towed the entire way to Fermont! Local Labrador boys went out and met them 75km north of Lab City to help them. They are in rebuild mode at this time, very mild there today.
  4. Jean Guys transmssion failed coming into Schefferville and they tore it apart last night and rebuilt it with borrowed parts from a local guys own sled! heading to Fermont now very mild and rain showers today. Plus 8 tomorrow!
  5. Yes they had transmission issues before Kuujjuaq again no big deal they simply tore the transmission apart and fixed the problem! Crazy and amazing!!!
  6. The guys are heading to Schefferville on the Riviere De pas. They had a mishap yesterday when one of the team members hit a big rock on the tundra and tore the front suspension bolt right out of the tunnel! No problem they say and take out their come along and drill and angle iron and bolts and do a repair in the field! Absolutely amazing resilience and determination!
  7. They arrived at Kuujjuaq at 11:30 last evening just in time for last call at the pub! Maintenance today heading to Wedge Hills Lodge tomorrow.
  8. I have been following them since day one. Amazing adventure!
  9. Thanks for the report Steven. Not perfect conditions but beats sitting on the couch!!!
  10. Yes only a couple of miles real nice when you get to the top!
  11. No on the Mont Lyall as it interecepts south of the Mont and Eastmark that sounds like the 587 in the Redemption area.
  12. If you are sitting home wondering about the trails get off the couch load up and go. We just ran 1098km and with the exception of low snow around Amqui all good to go especially with this new snow. There is a big reroute on the 595 south of La Cache. It takes you east and intercepts the trail to Murdochville for a short distance. I kept looking at my GPS thinking where the Hell are we going but it actually only adds 12km to the trip to New Richmond.
  13. Now you will never take a wrong turn or get lost!!!!
  14. 17 and 21 litre on the bags and the can is 14lt but you can squeez very close to 16 in it.
  15. My Quebec minus 40 windshield and all.
  16. Just hung up the phone my new ride just showed up today!!! Just in time for the early bird passes!!!
  17. Here are some photos of the new TQ3 trail work taken today north of Lake Nipi. During our visit, were present our FCMQ liaison officer Yanick Claveau, our vice president/operating director Yohan Savard and our trail director Yves Savard. They met on the spot the FQCQ liaison officer / Club Manic-quad project manager Alain Mercier. Unfortunately we have to inform you that the trail will not be operational this winter to our great regret, the south and north portions are not connected.
  18. The FCMQ is looking at a rebuild of its APP and are looking for suggestions on how to improve it. Could you provide me with the pros and cons of the current app and what you would like to see in the new app. I will pass your thoughts along to my contact. Thanks Andy
  19. Hope it all works out ok Chris!
