  1. It seems like there is always some hurdle.
  2. The snowmobile customer, of any in the world, is not electric. They will not survive.
  3. OK, I would have thought the signs were put up in the fall.
  4. Am I missing something? How could you still be doing signage in the middle of the season??
  5. This is all a little confusing to say the least. I have a trip planned for next Wednesday the 24th, until the following Wednesday from Mont Laurier to Lac Taureau, to Relais 22 etc and I'm not sure if I should cancel based on current map conditions.
  6. Sorry to hear about all your issues. I live near you in Windsor Locks. I am a PA practicing in General Surgery, but once did orthopedics. That's a crappy injury. I have a 22 GMC 1500 with the 3.0l Duramax. 37K miles and so far has been flawless. Which dealer fixed your truck? If you need anything, give out a shout, I'm right around the corner. Jim
  7. interactive trail map still showing 3 as open through Pessamit. Will see, our group is waiting to see what happens here, as we are planned to go through here in mid February.
  8. Yes, we are doing the Gaspe counterclockwise, then the ferry to Baie Comeau, to Sept Iles and back, back on the ferry to Matane. Then to Montmagny where we are launching from.
  9. Stayed at the Clarendon with my wife last September. Nice place, but got a killer rate on the Frontenac this time, so went for it.
  10. Our group is headed to Sept-Iles this year. Can't wait, never been there.
  11. Cool. Headed to the Frontenac with the wife from December 19th to the 22nd.
  12. Fuse is giving some great advice. Have stayed at Double Tree in Quebec and Roquemont in St Raymond many times. Double Tree is hands down better. More parking, rooms are way nicer. Other option which I have done is stay in Montmagny at L'Oiseliere. Very nice place and can do the Gaspe and hook down into NB if desired.
  13. Yamaha to re-enter the sled market in 2028 with their "all new, all yamaha 60th anniversary edition". You heard it here first. 🙂
  14. GSX I hear ya. Trying to see if 63 west of Mont Laurier is gonna open but that may take a while to find out, then it's late booking. The crew I normally run with but missed the trip, went to Chibougamau, and actually one guy on a sidewinder made it between gas stops as well as a doo 900 turbo. It can be done but obviously conditions need to be right. They all carried gas though.
  15. After 2 crap seasons back to back I'm getting the itch. Winter of 2022 had more sled issues than ever before. Blown shocks, water in vacuum line, and finally blew out the oil tank gasket from a frozen roll over valve which ruined a trip. 2023 missed the entire trip with my crew cuz started getting chest pains in December which led to a cardiac cath and stent on the day I was supposed to head to Quebec. Was able to salvage a few days up there though. Now I'm looking at the map and dreaming of when I can get back up there. I remember last year they were suggesting to book real early as places were getting booked quickly. When do you normally start to plan your trips?
  16. I find it works great. If I am unsure if I passed the trail or whatever, within a couple hundred feet you know.
  17. My buddies burnt to the ground on the last ride of the year a couple weeks ago, because of this issue. Not sure if he knew about the recall.
  18. Day trip loops and staying out of one hotel is RDL all the way.
  19. Have done hundreds, maybe close to a thousand or more total knees. DO NOT have high impact activities with it and it will last your lifetime. (I.E., don't stand and ride your sled, especially through rough trails even though that's what you're supposed to do. Seated and riding no problem.)
  20. Was at that same beach in August. 1970616870_20220824_141041(1).mp4
  21. I bought my trail pass for Quebec yesterday. As soon as you go to buy it, they force you to watch a video about going off the marked trail. This was a surprise. Then my credit card got denied twice. This was from my CC tracking possible fraudulent activity. OK, no problem, use the bank debit card. This went through, but now my bank thought it was a fraudulent charge, and put a block on my card. Had to call the bank to get this straightened out. Jeez what a pain.
