  1. Today 2/3 final day. We left Relais 22 this morning and arrived back in Shawinigan safe and sound after 8 days and zero issues thankfully. 73 south was good , 355 sucked ,351 so so and a police check with radar near Shawinigan. Overall some great trails some not so much but still a great time with a great riding partner! Hopefully more snow and cold in the forecast.
  2. Yes several areas, sad to see.
  3. Passable but lots of branches and a small creek crossing
  4. About 35 miles from Relais 22 the rest was excellent, here for the night
  5. Today we left Clova heading to Relais 22, good for about 15 miles then pretty much a shit show until 15 miles past Wemotaci. The bridge is finished past Parent. No grooming until the Gouin trail meets the 83 and even that was just ok. There was talk that the groomers from the east and west groomed up to the bridge that is NOT the case. Single wide and lots of stubble for about 30 miles after the bridge. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_02/IMG_1575.thumb.jpeg.64a8618573d7f9530fd344798946e9bb.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_02/IMG_1577.thumb.jpeg.62feec47a4485bd62427dbe00bc81ed7.jpeg
  6. Check out the chocolate bar at Forestel
  7. 2/1 we left Forestel headed to Clova. The 83 all the way to Clova was mint!! There is one section past the warming hut outside Senneterre that is a mess due to the fires , logging. About 10 km of shit but not a biggie.
  8. Yes and as always the answer is “follow the money”. Who is put in position of power is crucial…most just follow along.
  9. Today 1/31 Matagami to Val-d’or Forestel. To warm 34f. Trails around Amos are hanging on by a thread in places much better towards Valdor but anything near town sucks. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_02/IMG_1548.thumb.jpeg.fbe0cea664667e1d104cd08b456727bf.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_02/IMG_1554.thumb.jpeg.3ddea5e9a0fbfb02522ab33e16e0d2da.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_02/IMG_1549.thumb.jpeg.315d0bf578dc14c6358233080a2ba523.jpeg
  10. Thanks, Tom will do. Also they rerouted you on the 93 it is not a long boring rail bed the whole way. There was a good 70 miles that was actually fun before it popped back out on the rail bed. It was like this several years ago too. Makes the trip much more fun
  11. We have not seen any trail police the whole trip yet. Do you mean the burned down hotel in Matagami? Gas station is there nothing else. Only one place to eat and it’s right across the street wasn’t bad.
  12. 93 from Chibougamau to Matagami was damn near mint the whole way. We passed at least three groomers. As always, Chapais had the best trails. Staying at a Gite in Matagami tonight $$$ and no supper just breakfast.
  13. What if that person actually breeds? you know has children and raises them. That’s some scary shit…
  14. If that picture of the bridge is within the last 24 hours, I would be amazed to see it finished inside of two weeks.
  15. Leaving Chib and heading to Matagami this am.
  16. It is an 850 x terrain not mine It is my riding buddy’s Chris. Its working well, so far he’s pleased.
  17. Also it was exactly 40 miles to the “closed” lumber mill that had plenty of people at it and LOTS of logs piled up.
  18. Yep. And the owner just returned with super in jugs so we used that. Not sure exactly how much they charge per gallon it was on our bill.
  19. Tonight we are at the Nordic in Chibougamau, marina was full…bummer. The trail up was good and fresh groomed but if a little 80’s style bush scares you then wait because some sections had stubble sticking up. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_01/IMG_1528.thumb.jpeg.d810bf296a865540d6e11f8d177bf471.jpeg
  20. We bought fuel for our sleds and spare cans and you can order whatever for supper but I would say $175 Canadian including breakfast and supper etc…but they gave us a lot of food and put us in a large lodge. English was ok, 3 young guys from France doing the cooking and helping out. Real nice and the cream of onion soup was outstanding!! http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_01/IMG_1525.thumb.jpeg.7da85ec44b47f16b8fe43adf06417488.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_01/IMG_1527.thumb.jpeg.52733990d3e5b0db41e37a94c99a7f5f.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_01/IMG_1526.thumb.jpeg.30bd9b9a5b202212e3a8eff2684163c5.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_01/IMG_1523.thumb.jpeg.6a8097626d968648ce61ca4f1d71096a.jpeg
