  1. Mike, quebec is having it,s challenges with covid. They are just now restricting even people from other provinces entering Quebec. Plan B for sure. From here looks as no way border will open anytime soon. Hope everyone can make the best of the winter to come.
  2. We have 8 oxygen helmets in our group, 3 visors failed in the early season. We ran a small bead of silicon on the inside at the edge of the two pieces of visor plastic. Never a failure since. The newest shield has a visibly wider seal between the panes at the sides of seal. I would highly recommend siliconing new or old visor to guarantee it stays together. Once the seal separates the helmet is all but unusable and can ruin a day or worst a trip. Our group has ordered 4 more for this season. Everyone loves the improved field of vision and the quiet operation. The only unanimous complaint is that the helmet can be too warm. Removing the ear pads helps a lot with temp management as it allows some fresh air from the lower vents to circulate around your head. Hope this helps....
  3. with no balaclava, helmet ,skirt soaked at end of long day. even my shirt was wet at neck line, mind you 200 plus miles at minus 27 with few stops. did notice the warm on your face even at cold temps went away if you used the sun visor..Also noted that the front small vents completely freeze up on long rides very cold days
  4. 4 new oxygen helmets in our group, collectively 3000 miles, if the visor lasts the first few days all good, seems like the inner heated part of visor comes unglued( 2of 4) . We rode over 500 miles this weekend with 3 of them in minus 25. The experience can only be described as looking out a picture window with zero wind or leaks, almost too warm inside helmet. Control has to be on 3 when cold out, you cannot drive with it cracked open, some ice forms on the inside in the very lower part. If you stop on the trail in very cold weather and open the visor sometimes you cannot get it to click down again from ice buildup at seal area. Lots of internet doom and gloom about these new helmets, BUT. Truly remarkably better than previous BVS or modular. Once they get visor sorted you will see lots on the trails. Hey Ray you should be good with 2 not 6. no worries ours all good now.
  5. summer sledding, corvette suspension, blown ls, 550 rwhp. just like a sled point and shoot.
  6. 10 guys to many? We have had 6 trips of 50 guys for 3 days with 600 miles total. Always in the valdor area. Prepaid all rooms and meals and a support truck to carry luggage and pickup the scrap. Lots of Quebec rider members have seen us on route or in restaurants. Almost no problems, but the secret was to have everything paid in advance and give everyone 0 options of any kind.We took quite a few novice tourers with us but the absolute fear of getting lost made them all keep up. On the trails by 800. am and every one in by 400.. just saying this area has super Hwy trails,no traffic, lots of hotels and for the most part the road is always close to the trail. 10 too many? we could probably add your 10 to our 50 and still make it work, . for sure an adventure we all talk about for years to come.
  7. very very common, we now carry a spare fuel pump relay in my suit pocket, in a pinch just change relay with headlamp relay, all the same. Almost only happens when you start on cold mornings and then shut off to load ect, ect. cat 1100, all vipers and thundercat use same relay as did apex..
