  1. And familiar have a BLAST guys so I take it you didn’t see any Smokey’s shooting radar outside Lebel sur like they were a couple years back did you get into town and are they working on rebuilding hotel or just cleared the ruble
  2. Mark we are in Roberval for the night and the yellow section is probably spot on. All the trails we were on today from Gouin except 345 jct to Wemo and the yellow section were 8-9. It wasnt bad and certainly very doable. The nature of that section being narrow/hilly/twisty is what it is and always gets "chop" to it quicker than other sections of 83 Typical Roberval scratchy getting in and lower overall snow depth but again very doable. We are staying at the hotel with the St Hubert attached. Heading towards La dore tomorow and around the lake to chicoutimi
  3. Mark just spoke with 3 guys at 22 who came from Alma said it was perfect all the way
  4. With the exception of roadside cobble/snirt ride from 345/83 junction all the way into Wemo it has been FAN FUCKING tastic the whole way from the Gouin to the 22 with the exception of the 3 [New Yorkers I think) right out of Kanawata a half kilometer have NOT had a sled come head on or seen ANYONE since we left camp yesterday morning just got to the 22 and about 25 people here
  5. Will try and update from the “22” as well if possible
  6. God willing you’ll have one around supper time
  7. Waking up and having breakfast at the Barrage Gouin. There were us three, 4 guys from Rochester and 4 guys from Tug Hill region here last night. So 10 New Yorkers and Mon ami Andre……LOL was a GREAT day on trail yesterday. 190 miles from camp via 345 and 83. And other than three New Yorkers passing by us leaving the Kanawata parking lot….we saw NO ONE all day. There was one sled in the parking lot when we got to Kanawata at noon. He was sitting at a table with a broken hand all swelled up. Day before they were heading into kanawata and 37 km before they got there he hit a big up/down divit in the trail. Snapped his wrist, bent handlebars and riser block and busted up his windshield and glove box cover going ass over tea kettle. Their truck was in St Zenon and the other guys were coming back to get him. Thankfully he and his machine were not hurt more. the trail between Kanawata and Casey was in fine shape yesterday and everything was freshly groomed thru Casey up the 83 and all the way past Haltaparche as was the Gouin trail with no tracks. There is plenty of snow to ride albeit not normal amounts up here. One has to be extremely vigilant as the groomers can not get the trail perfect because of lack of snow so a “surprise “ can come out of nowhere. The Alliance du Nord groomer was sitting in Casey and I’m sure he was sleeping somewhere and be rolling again today. Rest assured that even though the iMotoneige app dosnt show it groomed IT IS. we are heading east today and spending the night somewhere over LSJ area. Looking forward to a cheeseburger at the “22” today.
  8. 3 p.m. yesterday. Very sad that Jean-Guy is not there this winter. ah….the memories
  9. This all started today with the 2.something and then the 1.7mb max upload
  10. 4 guys from Rochester NY here at the Gouin started from Mt Laurier Saturday said really scratchy and thin around Mt Laurier but better once away. Didn’t know about river.
  11. Can confirm that the Kan-Casey express is in TOP conditions, the groomer (Alliance) is sitting in Casey as of 2 pm (probably sleeping there somewhere and that it is groomed all the way to Haltaparche and past there. Trail up to the Gouin was fresh groomed with no tracks.
  12. For my glaucoma and used sparingly someone PLEASE advise me with this file upload bullshit or no fabulous pics from today
  13. Still having 1.74mb max upload problem so NO pics can I post from today
  14. For official purposes I have a medical card
  15. Can anyone tell me why my max picture size was 2.06 a few minutes ago (and I couldn’t send nice trail pics that were larger) and now I can’t send my club sandwich pic and it says max 1.74 WTF ??????
  16. Dam fine day so far have seen no one since we left camp except this guy on the 345 got within 6 ft of him
  17. According to the trail update this a.m. the groomer never moved from yesterday’s breakdown 5 miles before the Gilardo dam i guess we’ll find out soon as we are leaving camp soon and heading north looking forward to my Kanawata Club sandwich for lunch and we just made reservations at the Gouin for tonight
  18. At least they are on the right side of the trail
  19. Tell us more about that cabin….. might shoot for that Tuesday night
  20. I prefer the dark/long haired “thicker” one versus the skinny one but that’s just me
  21. Anyhooooo……… got Christian squared away with help coming and bombed the rest of the way back into camp. told Christian I want the trail “ like a fucking bowling alley” when we pull up on the 345 tomorrow morning heading north out of camp he assured me we would be pleased back at camp having shrimp/pasta/veggie souflet
  22. 30 minutes later we take off and only get 5-6 miles and he’s dead on the trail note to self….groomer stuck over blind hill…….. He blew a hose and puked coolant alll over trail fixed hose but didn’t have enough coolant to refill so……. mon ami Andre back tracked to his house (just west of Gilardo) and told his wife and friend as his sat phone wasn’t working
  23. We were sitting at the Gilardo dam and took a long break just as we were ready to leave Christian rolls buy heading east well……..I guess we’re going to have a longer break
  24. Ah….christian…..what’s going on mon ami
