  1. Hi Everyone, This has been asked many times before but i cant seem to find the answer or post. I have read in posts in past years about a person that will organize a saddlebag trip through Gaspe? I was looking at leaving from Rimouski area and travelling east on the 5 across the top and down to Pierce area then back up through Murdochville / Chic Chocs and back up toward 595 and back up to 5 and back to the truck at Rimouski. Will just be myself and my wife. 200 to 250 KM a day seem realistic? Thanks for any help or direction provided. Happy and safe trails to you all. Sledzz

  3. I was at the Roquemont tuesday night and left on the sleds Wednesday morning and returned yesterday. Was icy for the first 20 miles as said above, then absolutely perfect. We went up to the Delta in Jonquiere. They we calling for ice pellets this morning in St. Ray and up to a foot of snow at Letape today. Wish i could go back, it was great
  4. Great post, nice to follow along with all the great photos. Do you use a GoPro type camera for all these pictures? Surely you arent stopping every time to take a picture? If it is a GoPro type camera, do you have a remote button or something to trigger the camera? Cheers and happy, safe trails. Matt
  5. Hello, does anyone have info or experience crossing the Ottawa river near Hawkesbury Ontario into Quebec west of Lachute? Specifically trying to cross over from Ontario trails to stay at Hotel Lac Carling then on our way up to St. Zenon area. Is it a bridge crossing or ice crossing. Thank you very much for any info you can provide.

  7. We always go up the 23 and back down on 355 through Lac Bouchette. Nice wide fast forestry roads for the most part. We rode up 23 last thursday and back down on Sunday, smooth sailing all the way.
  8. Thanks everyone for the tips. yes i was referring to km as it will just be me and the wife, dont want to wear her out with big miles! Thanks again. Sledzz
  9. Hello, Have been to the Delta a couple of times on a pass through saddlebagger but looking for a day trip, approximately 150 to 250km out of the Delta. I do love the trail / terrain on the north side of the river up through Mt Valin to LaChepal. Is there another area that has similar terrain? Perhaps up to Centre Plein Air Mt. Valin?? Never been up that way. As always, thank you for any info provided. Cheers
  10. Nope, South and much of east of Ottawa still closed.... Season almost over
  11. Does anyone have experience with Motel Chavigny on Highway 40 west of Quebec City. We usually stage out of Roqumount in St. Raymond but it is fully booked. Thank you
  12. Planning a trip with my wife and just wondering if Trail 63 from Mont Laurier to Cabanon is wide and fast or tight and twisty? Trying to plan reasonable distances for her. Thanks for any info provided.
  13. Vieux Moulin is awesome. Food is incredible. We will be going from Mont Laurier friday to Bazinette, just south of Vieux Moulin. We are a bit concerned about the traffic going back on Saturday as well. Safe trails
  14. I stayed at Odenak last year, never again. No where near what it used to be
  15. Did you go up by Auberge Eva at Lac Bouchette on 355? Map shows that no grooming has taken place this year north of Lac Edouard?? Thanks
  16. Thanks RR, please report back once you get out for a ride. Thank you!
  17. Stayed there last year. Nice place but the room we had was really small and had a shared living room type thing. Didn't know this when i booked it. Restaurant only has one option / choice at dinner time. Not sure what you would do if you didnt like what the option was.... Nice setting though looking out over the river
  18. Trying to plan a route and part of it is from Mont Tremblant to St. Donat. It seems there is a short gap in the trail east of Mont Tremblant on trail 43. Interactive map wants to take me way south, east, then back up north to St.Donat rather than directly across 43. Does anyone know what the issue is or if it is temporary? Thank you for any info provided. Sledzz
  19. I have the older Uclear 200's and the Uclear Amp pro. Work very good, no mics to freeze. I have tried many brands and now wouldnt buy anything but Uclear.
  20. Just curious, what is all the fuel for? Are you a guide for some long distance trips? Thanks for the pictures and reports. Matt
  21. Has anyone purchased a Posi-Trail beacon or monitoring device? Just saw that they will be on all groomers. Watched the videos on the website but still not sure if it only detects others that have the device or does it detect all traffic around you? Thanks
  22. Can anyone comment on Cap Au Leste Auberge that is on the north side of the Saguany River Fjord? Restaurant? Rooms? Secure Lockup? Thank you
  23. Yes, sorry. Trail 3 East. Brain fart! Thank you!
  24. Hello, Planning a route that i am not familiar with and was looking for info on terrain / type of trail. Specifically Trail 3 east from St. Raymond to where it crosses Saguany River and then Trail 93 running north of the Saguany River toward Mont Valin Ski Hill. We usually go straight north from St. Raymond to the Delta in Jonquier, but wanted to try the Fairmont Richileau then head north from there up through Mont Valin. Thanks for any info / opinions you can provide.
