  1. Donations for the Iceman sled fund here.....

    www.newsledfordoncausewelikesnow.com

    lol.

Seriously though I hope there is snow left for January, February, and March. And its not just gonna all fall in december then be a huge dissappointment the rest of the winter.

Does the web site accept cash ( US ) as well as CC and Pay Pal ???

  2. Seems Club Jaques Cartier is closer to Solution for TQ3. I guess they have the landowner permission needed for new trail but are awaiting permission from Quebec City gov't for a right away along a road I think to complete the new connection.

    Stay Tuned.

Thanks for the update, planning on being in that area in Feb. That looks like a BIG detour if no trail in St Foy !

  3. I want to thank ALL of you for your input, pics and info. The plan is drop off trailer and sleds at Manoir du Lac Sept Isle on Sat and head into Old QC for the night and spend Sun at festival. We'll hit the Ice Hotel on the way back to St Ray and spend the night at Manoir LSI.Mon. Mon hit the trail for 2 nights ( where ever the trail takes us ) and back to St Ray.

    Thanks Again, Dave & Sharon

  4. Heading up with the Bride in Feb for a couple of days at the Winter Carnival in QC City and ride for 3 days. I was wondering if anyone has stayed at or has any feedback on the Manoir du Lac Septisles in St Raymond. I figure we can leave truck and trailer there and hit the trails for a couple of nights.

    Thanks Dave & Sharon

  5. Stayed at Tamarac last Wed. and it's been 2 owners since the last time I was there. Well the place is a lot nicer, however the food was GREAT !! Indoor parking for sleds was nice, will be back for sure !!

Thanks, Dave L and the Irishman

  6. Of all the times I have been there, I have never seen a train on the tracks. Most of the time, the tracks are completely covered, and they are recessed into the road to my recollection. Now as Iceman says, there are really big signs there, and as Viper says, there are a tiny bit away from where you normally would park.

Maybe we can take away something positive, no one was hurt, and we all need to be careful out there. I have seen trains at the crossings in the middle of the woods, in the middle of nowhere, and the trains are going very, very fast.

Trains, log trucks, and the occasional dirt pile and tree is out there, ready to get you at any time.

    I couldn't agree more,be safe gang !
  7. Not sure what you are calling the Orange trail by-passing seneterre? You mean 386? If so yes you can go from Lac Faillon to Louvincourt by-passing seneterre. Yes open and groomed.

    Gas at Kitciskik YES

    Gas at Le Domaine YES

322 can not help you with that one

Pouvorie Martin is Closed this Season I am pretty sure..

Thanks again Iceman,One more Question,on the Woodrunner map it shows another trail heading up to Clova west of 13. Is that a good trail, is it groomed, it shows gas on the train heading north ?Been on 13 a bunch of times, maybe this is a good alternate either going up or heading back to St Anne Thanks Again !
  8. Planning short loop, any input would be grateful lodging or otherwise. Haven't been this way in a while. Plan on leaving La Belle Tues 26th in afternoon and end up in St Anne Du Lac for the night. Wed. St Anne to Parent for lunch and on to Clova for the night.Thurs. Clova to Lac Fallion for lunch and down 386 S. Is there any lodging at intersection of 386 and 63 on that orange trail ??? If so, stay there on Thursday night from there back to LaBelle on Friday.

    Thanks Dave L

A few more questions,First we are starting and returning to St Anne du Lac. Is the orange local trail bypassing Sennetre open and groomed ? Is there gas at Kitciskik on 386 and Domain on 63 ? Returning to St Anne on 322 can you still get off 322 and cross the Baskatong to Rabaska Lodge or do you have to stay on 322 ?? How far is Pouvioure Martin From Tamarak in Clova ?? Thanks
  9. Make sure to call ahead to LaVendyre we tried to call ahead there on a Monday at 11 AM and they were full. We did not pass more than 2 snowmobiles that entire day and no fresh tracks? I am thinking now it was not a snowmobiler related booking.

Thanks for the heads up,,just booked the last 3 rooms for the night we wanted
  10. Just east of the 386/63 is a trail (it will be on the right) to Pavillion Lavendyre its the only thing down near there. 7 miles off of the 63.

    Nice Lodge gas food sleep.

Way to go Iceman, I think I was there years ago We'll see when we get there. That works out well for our trip, from there back to La Belle is around 210 Miles back.

Thanks for the info, Dave L

  12. I am hoping someone can help! My son and I are planning to leave St. Zenon on Saturday and Head to Valdor. Can any help me map out a 4 day loop beginning in St. Zenon and returning to St. Zenon through Valdor including where to stay in route and returning along with estimated mileages! Unfortunately this is last minute due to Gaspe having no snow! Any help would be truly appeciated! Many thanks,
