Just wanted to let everyone know about conditions.
We rode out of the Delta with no problems.
Trails were thin in spots at first or Whooped Out in others.
Everyday things got better, little snow, little time, little more grooming.
I know a lot of riders were pissed that it is not 100%..... well the relays told us there was no snow a week ago.....
If you go into the ride thinking it is Dec and Not Jan.... you'll be happy.
It'll be better in 2 weeks!

There was a company that makes a bracket for the doo front bumper that holds a light bar. It is made up of two metal plates that mount to the HD bumper. Anyone know the name?

It will take a full week for that tour ! But well worth it and very little traffic .

If you are considering staying in Matagami there is very limited if any accomodations there since the hotel burned down a couple of years ago. Also there is no fuel between Chibougamau and Pemonca. I believe it is about 240 km. Awesome trip otherwise. Just be sure to make all your reservations early.

I never complain about the cost of Quebec permit. The significant grooming capacity and constant investment in infrastructure like this projects makes us all fortunate to have these trails.

Thanks to the support of the FCMQ, by the end of the week we'll have a new bridge for snowmobilers on trail 23, about 25 km south of l’Etape,  Lac Champlain sector.
 
The Club motoneige St Raymond will be ready to welcome you as soon as the trails are usable.

What an epic adventure, how does one plan this? Looks like they are riding a lot of frozen water ways. Curious on how they planned for this trip.

We were up last week in the same area, trails still look awesome, we put on 1600 miles 🙂

Despite it being 2023,  my sled still thinks it is 2006.  I had the oldest sled in the Parking Lot at OTIS...but I think it still looks cool.

Calling for warm air and rain…..

I have no magic crystal ball. But I expect one of the three I listed will light up  right before or right after X-Mas.  Many, many years ago I went looking for a place to try out the new sled in  mid December.  Drove hundreds of miles and Amqui was groomed in all directions.

Is the bearded-one coming out of retirement?

I use a small soft side cooler , it only holds 4 bottles of water and they do not freeze.
