  1. That's going to be difficult to accomplish, I would think. Apart from actually finding a "safe" place, and the logistical challenges that @Iceman mentioned, you are going to have to potentially deal with shoveling out, dead batteries etc.... Are you planning on traveling from Florida, or some far warm place? I hope things change, but the snowmobile season seems to be getting shorter and shorter. Being retired, perhaps you should consider spending the month of February in the Province, and call it good. One trip in, one trip out. Other than that, perhaps work with a hotel you trust, that could manage your vehicle and sleds, and maybe even shuttle you to and from the airport. All at a cost and risk of course. Good luck.
  2. I guess they maybe have their place. Perhaps as rentals at a resort facility. Certainly, and obviously, not as backpacking on the Nineteen Thousand miles of groomed trails in La Belle Province.
  3. This made me laugh. I am sure it will happen. In Maine, the snowmobile trail system is known as the ITS (Interconnected Trail System)
  4. The foot plus of heavy wet snow we received here in Southern Maine would have made a nice base, in January🙄🤪... I am very thankful that I installed a standby generator last year. Currently still close to 300,000 customers still without power state wide. Yesterday A friend asked me if I would be taking my machine out... My machine is going to be my Kubota Tractor with plow and front end loader. After the concrete snow on top soft gravel is dealt with, it's on to downed trees. 😀 Winter Storm 4 April 2024
  5. Indeed. As I mentioned above, I have been contributing for several years, sometimes multiple times per year. I have never received any correspondence from anything or anyone that has anything to do with Quebecrider Dot Com. Is John Rowe a member here? Anyhow, I am very happy to contribute to the site, I just wish I could be more certain that the money I am contributing is actually benefiting the site. I would also like to take a moment to thank all those who moderate, and otherwise run the site, and make it possible. Thank you for your time and effort.
  6. Certainly no surprises there. Most definitely a weather dependant sport. And weather is crtainly not dependable.
  7. Very Sad. Condolances to the families.
  8. Congratulations! Enjoy, it's a great bike, despite the air filter.🤪
  9. It Snowed in Maine yesterday. Northern and interior areas got quite a bit. I guess a few of the clubs might groom. Here in Southern Maine we got about four inches before it turned to freezing rain. My birch trees got tired and laid down for a nap. The power went out just after 9:30 last night. still out this morning just before 4:30. I am thankful for the stand by generator that I had installed last year. I spent the day yesterday working on my motorcycle. Changing the air filter on my 2018 Honda Goldwing. I thought the previous generation Goldwing was bad. This is worse. A ridiculous process. It was a good day for it. I left a note for the next guy that does it. When I wrote it, I was determined that it would not be me.... Changing The Air Filter on a 2018 Honda Goldwing
  10. Indeed, 860 more than I did though. As the Sports teams say. Looking forward to next season.... 😀
