  1. Where has our friend Groomer been? Miss his pictures.
  2. Help me understand why the groomer was not moved? It appears to be parked next to the gas tank. Isn't that where we pull up to get gas? Horrible place to park the groomer and then take the keys. Just wondering!
  3. Last year we went to Maine. 54 miles into the trip the lone Polaris with us blew up. 3000 miles on it. Brutal.
  4. I rode in Maine a couple weeks ago. First timer. Normally we go to Quebec. It was great. 1000 miles in 5 days. Very similiar to Quebec riding. Registered online. Carried the printable version, sticker arrived when we got home. We started in Rangley and went north. I do think it was much cheaper than Quebec. But the acommadations were not as nice. Towns seemed to close at 9. Its a pretty remote state. We had some trouble navagating. I didn't think it was signed as well as Quebec. Lots of intersections! Lead rider saw 3 moose! Lots of snow when we were there, but also a few warmups since.
  5. Just over 1300 miles here in Central NY. 3/4's right from my house, which is nice. Went to Tug Hill a couple times, trails were amazing there. Overall they were all pretty good! A month of cold does a lot of good! Sucks not going to Quebec this year but being able to leave from your house after work to get some dinner with friends was pretty nice too!
  6. Give him our best! I bruised my ribs playing rugby...can't imagine breaking them...
  7. But at least we are getting some snow and cold at least! Solid 75 miles on my new sled!
  8. Has to be the same...although I don't remember the church being that nice! Trail was very close to it though. I was riding a 2007 Vector so it was a little bit ago!
  9. Is that the church we went to do you think? I don't remember how long we on the road. The trail ended up not being far from the church. I can remember seeing the trail and thinking, "this is gonna be a long day!" Then, in the distance we see sled headlights. We waited and then a orange Crossfire with a bunch of other riders appears. The guy on the Crossfire busts through the bank, stops, opens his shield and yells, "Vive la Canada!!!" It was awesome!!
  10. OMG its so weird that you posted this picture because I remember this exact spot!! Our first trip to Gaspe it snowed. And snowed. We were following single tracks in the morning. When we got to this, we went straight. It looked as if no one had groomed at all the trail to left. So we went straight. Up the hill on right was a shack of some sort where we were told this was not the direction we wanted. Others sledders starting to do same thing we did. Went back, got on a road, ended up in a old church of some kind that had food. Ate and at this point others had been through and told us which direction to go. Next trip to Gaspe we stopped at this point and it looked like this picture. It was amazing the snow and how it changed the landscape!!! Thanks for posting Groomer!
  11. La redemption in Gaspesie. We lucked out on a great day to see them.
  12. What I thought...only one I've guessed! I've been to a lot of these places but it all seems to blend together! Wonder how that place is doing...thought the owner was an older gentleman. His grandson or something like that was helping him with it? This was a couple years ago. Neat place. These pics are really making me miss Quebec this year!! But keep them coming!
  13. And dealer here in Upstate NY just called. My 900T Renegade X is in!!!
  14. Some leaves already seem to be falling her in upstate NY! I have a 900T on the way also! Not getting my hopes up about a Quebec trip this year though. Is what it is!
  15. Totally agree with this! At my work, a large brewery, people in my department started feeling ill to the point we all socially distanced ourselves. Half of my department went home early. This NEVER happens. The next day, massive call-ins. It went through the entire place like wildfire. I was leaving for my Quebec trip that Sunday and getting sick was the last thing I wanted! Anyways, lots of people had the same symptoms as COVID-19. Some tested positive for the flu, some did not. I was one of the few that did not get sick....so I'm either immune or just waiting my turn! I'd go with the latter, I'm not that lucky!
  16. I spring checked a 900T. Was happy with what they gave me for trade-in. All the accessories on my 850 will fit my 900T. I justified it by realizing I had my 2012 1200 for 18,000 miles. Can't get that from a 2 stroke. Or maybe you can but I wouldn't feel comfortable taking it to Quebec on a 1000 mile trip! I work in the Beer industry and the brewery is running hard right now. Hopefully it stays that way. I feel very fortunate to still be working. I just hope the cure for this isn't worse than the actual disease...
  17. Jean Guy - Do what's best for you! Many many thanks from all of us in Syracuse, NY for all you've done! You made our first trip to the Gaspe many years ago turn into about 4 more! You answered all our questions without fail even though I'm sure you get the same ones every day! Keep the pictures coming! Its one of the first things I check when I fire up the computer!
  18. We booked Hotel Chibougamau. Food across the street. Friendly local bar nearby or does the hotel have a bar? Thanks for the replies!
  19. What’s your opinions? I know it’s limited. We’ve stayed at Nordic...it was ok. Also at Marina...also ok. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
  20. Thanks for sharing your adventures Snowmaster! I'm always impressed with people that do the things they love instead of coming up with excuses why they can't! Safe trails!
  21. Can only get them online now? We normally got them at the hotel where we launched from. They are saying it’s only online now. Is this true?
