How do you spell Matagami?
I don’t think anyone can beat that......
if I recall it was 12 hrs to get back to Shawingan in a truck and only 1000 bucks.🤪
I may have to start a new thread.......

You guys sure know how to have an adventure....
You also make most of us on here feel like a bunch of minor leaguers ready to be taken out to pasture

BJ has been having issues with ice building up on stud backers and eating rear idlers, this morning he was at the dealer at 8, they took him right in changed idlers and hyfax, out in a hour. Kudos to the dealer in Chibougamau for their great and friendly service. Stayed at the Nordic rooms have been redone quite nice and reasonable. We were in no real hurry anyway sort of a rest day, left around 9:30 did not stop in Chapis for fuel. 93 was flat and fast we would alternate between hammer down and mild speed as it was pretty cold again. Fuel began getting low BJ and Dan stopped to dump some in, Greg and I wanted to see if we could make it to LSQ we put the diesels in eco and held them to the bar 40 mph, pulled into gas with 165 miles on the speedo. Greg took 37.6 liters and i took 39. Last couple miles mine was stumbling on the up hill sections, not necessary but fun to push mileage. 4 days left to ride we are in no hurry to get south of the fence it will be our last QC trip this year.
For the official record
The back up sled 600 etec took 35 liters
the 850 took 36.5
the diesels made it to the gas station but took the most
37.6 and 39

Looks like BJ took lessons from ya. You taught him well!
Jim I had enough to make it but the last 5 feet was beyond vertical and I got cold feet that I could flip over backwards.
so much snow no damage....the young kid helped me get it out after I thought I was having a myocardial infarction.
trails are awesome and bluebird days except for the last hr today

Has anyone started from the South end of 43? Coming from PA tonight and was planing to start from Le Classic but everyone is saying 63 has not been touched for a month due to groomer operator issues. Rapides-des-Joachims is the town name. Where do I park? Tried several of the motels today and no answer so far.
Best place to park from Pa is Maniwaki
we are launching from there tomorrow

I’m not seeing any thing like that on the extended forecasts here in Quebec, not saying it ain’t possible, just not showing it here. Not polar cold but still cold for the next two weeks.
It was the Euro Model but the forecasts in PA are changing quickly aligning with this potential trend.

Even though we perform all routine maintenance and repairs on the trail? Eric has extended his tunnel to accommodate extra parts and tools and of course a 30 pack of Bud.
No trail side repair is complete without a icy cold Bud in hand! LOL!
Eric was with me when I grenaded in Matagami.
i believe I owe u guys some leniency.

Dam under 10,000 miles that must be the 2 stroke club? If so I'd drop that down to 8,000. I'm out I'm almost double that.
Headed up on the 23rd for nine days
Jim
You would be granted an exemption!
This Trip is impromptu....not liking the look of the long term forecast and want to ensure some seat time!
