  1. In my opinion, the exploria map grooming function will be the most valuable resource during this fluid situation. When the lights/colors go out on this thing we are all in trouble! some clubs open/some not closures occurring over time obviously Quebec/Snowmobile Clubs have an interest in painting the best picture of the riding still available to keep tourism dollars flowing and minimize the revenue loss as much as possible. Are the few areas that claim they will remain unaffected going to be slammed with traffic? Time will tell..... Ive made the decision to postpone any trip until the situation is hopefully resolved. Not being a guinea pig this time and very disappointed. 😥😥😥
  2. One farm field being closed could really mess up miles and miles of trail....never mind the issues the groomers will have. sounds like a big mess to me hopefully it's resolved soon
  3. Doo forums say octane booster has a tendency to fowl plugs.... i have no experience to comment intelligently
  4. I try to avoid the regular if possible. Haven't read the fine print on my warranty but would guess if I melted it down running 87 it could be a point of contention with DOO. Just thought objective information on the few areas u can't get 91 octane could be helpful for trip planning.
  5. A thread for the minority. "2STROKERS" Was hoping to gather info on the towns or prominent stops where you can't get premium fuel. We had one stop on our last 1700 mile saddlebagging trip where premium fuel was an issue. Lac Edward KM 31 only had regular but it wasn't an issue. It would be beneficial to know where premium isn't available! Any insight is greatly appreciated! BJ
  6. Our last 100 miles was brutal by Quebec standards from Just north of st Raymond to shawinigan. amazing what warm temps and traffic do to the trails. so much snow not to worry......a little cold and everything will be perfect
  7. Im coming off a 4 stroke so I have to comparator. If the thing holds together for a reasonable time I think it's a winner. I have the medium winsdshield although I wanted something bigger and haven't had an issue with cold so far.... We are saddlebaggers so range is more important than anything. The four gallon caddy is great. Best of luck and ride safe!
  8. 1850 miles with no issues. We road 228 miles today from Forestville to the Delta and I NEVER took fuel......The MPG conditions were variable all day but I found that range to be quite impressive. (9.5 Gallons) plus 4 Gallon Jerry The low fuel light was on in Jonquire but I did have a gallon left in the tank. We were also carrying all the gear for our 8 day adventure. Range translates to safety in QC when saddlebagging. Realizing a two stroke isn't for everyone....myself included if this thing grenades. If it doesn't and Doo engineers got this correct. It's something to really consider in the future. Sled is such a blast to ride. My 2 Cents #NOTBRANDLOYAL BJ
  9. Anyone at the Delta Thursday (tonight) night? Todays target destination and would love to see some familiar faces.....
  10. Jack and Sandi, We both ride doo and carry 4 extra gallons each. Our range is prob close to 200 plus miles and we both have Garmin Gps with track maps. It's cheating but it saves so much time. I use the "where to" feature and just follow the track. We did find the signage very good and plenty of services along the way.........
  11. No pucker bushes for Phil. He is being a very good boy. Landed in Forestville tonight. 290 miles from sept ilies me and the old man were playing cat and mouse over the hills between godbout an baie comeau. couldnt get the son of a gun out of my back pocket. I told him the reason was I was leading and protecting him of any potential oncoming traffic. we definitely got our hour of cardio in for the day. overall today's ride was outstanding...everything groomed first 75 miles from sept iles took us just over an hour. the godbout section was groomed as good as u can groom in those hills. The hills are so steep u would need the groomer pulling a 3ft drag to make the bottom of the hills smooth Both sleds ran great....1650 miles for the year!
  12. Great pics are u posting from an iPhone? I have to print screen before I post... any advice?
  13. Hopefully she doesn't climax before 100 miles In all my experience how long she lasts is critical imperative. Range is just as important as your riding partner.
  14. Newest members of the 50 percent club From Godbout to Sept Iles was rock star. Baie Come to Godbout had 4-12 inches of fluff on a hard packed base. Great Ride all around, beautiful day, thrilled we made it!👍🏻
