Je me souviens

Took a trip up to the LSJ area last weekend. Departed on Saturday morning and returned Monday night. 739 miles, almost an even 250 per day. Cold starts on Sunday and Monday. Probably saw less than 20 miles of sub par conditions. Had a great time, here are some pics.

If there’s no room left at the Touriste in SADL there is a municipal parking lot just up the road from the restaurant. The parking lot at the touriste is small and the groomer cuts through the middle of the lot on his way back to the groomer shed.

The depanneur, gas station in town has a pretty vast selection of snacks. Chez mom Chum I believe is the actual name of the place. Not a meal per se but not ashamed to admit I have done it before. I usually opt for far too much sugar. Aero bar. Pepsi. Then cap it off with some of those raspberries they have in the candy section. But in all seriousness, no I don’t believe there are any other restaurants in Parent. If you need a meal either opt for an early lunch at 100 lacs/fer a cheval, or wait until supper time at your destination.

At that point I think it’s fair to throw in a little: criss, siboire, and maybe even add a little maudis criss de TBK.

Yep. Even when there is only 7 sleds at the pump one guy always seems to magically lose track of who was already waiting.

Depending on the situation, anything you have in your saddle bags. I think a pair of jeans might even work, a long sleeve shirt usually fits the bill. And yes, you do usually owe the guy towing you a new tail light, in addition to the new belt you should buy him for towing you.
