  1. First saddle bag trip I ever took in 95 was out of the Safari, Bernard talked me into a 275 mile trip first day, he was going to call me for trail reports on my first night, never made it to the place, 100 miles short. Sitting having a drink that night and the owner hands me the phone and says phone call for you, what! Its Bernard and he asking me only the way Bernard could ask the question, WHAT THE F*x^@! ARE DOING THERE! I told him why didn't you give me chainsaw being the first ones up that trail that season. When I got back from that trip we could not get our sleds in the trailer before we gave trail conditions, his wife did the online reports. Bernard would drop us off at the bars and come get us, first heated garage ever used, I liked that guy.
  2. Thats the same way you start fuel injected or carburetor cars in the cold if the car was flooded, slight throttle or full throttle when trying to start, that slows fuel supply and clears out your cylinders. The person with the most battery wins.
  3. Happy Birthday young man and many more.
  4. I got pulled over 2 weekends in a row at the airport in La Tuque, was lucky never got a ticket each time, I come in to town on the other trail for gas before going north now.
  5. Hi Mario, I think if you were considering 121 and thinking going up to a137 track might be more of a debate, you are going to feel more push at times in corners with a 129 or 137, as far as the 4 inches I have read the same thing, sounds about right 8 inches longer track. I like the ride on the longer track and the luggage (gas can) I can bring and the links stuff that ski-doo has to offer. Started riding the longer track 2007, would not go back to a shorter track because it fits my needs for my saddle bag trips in Canada and Vermont, I ride with 8 friends that have all gone to the long track. Good luck on your choice of your 2016, not a bad problem to have. Pat
  6. Alain, thank you for sharing, enjoyed it, pass a lot sleds with cams on helmets.
  7. Mike, thank you for the info, going to be in the area Wednesday to Sunday, passing through those trails and will be looking for the ones you mentioned. Thanks again
  8. Can't wait for that, sounds like a dream come true.
  9. Nice report, thanks. At a camp we have a big peg board called the (wall of shame) and we take pictures and hang them, late at night the fun begins.
  10. David, looks like the trip is going well with your bride. It never gets old when at Windigo watching the foxes get fed. Keep the go flow touring going.
  11. Threw in the towel and bought a 2015 spring order, stopped riding 07 gade sdi with 22,000 miles on it in Quebec, took the 07 out for a ride yesterday put 150 miles on it, still hauls!
  12. Holey #%x! You guys know how to have fun, I think! I thought going to Bae Comeau to catch a ferry south was and adventure.
  13. Thats what its all about, I hope I can do that at their young age and still call it fun!
  14. Very nice, thats getting it done, a lot of days on the trails. Glad everyone came through ok, I bet you got some good stories from that trip.
  15. Very neat ride going east, went as far east to Bae Comeau which is the most east I have been, took the ferry in Tadoussac and never say this before the ferry came across sideways due the high winds, wish I had pictures of that words cannot describe. Have fun.
  16. I joined that club last year thanks to a Quebec rider who sold me his old one and helped down load the maps, it saved me on making a ferry crossing I would have never made and showed me short cuts on days that we were late starting out in the AM due to repairs. Say what you want but would not ride without one in a snowstorm on a route you do not know. Thank you to the person who sold it to me and garmin.
  17. Had a chance to take it last year, was told it would be a rough ride, still would like to do it this year.
  18. Alain thanks again for the Monday pictures, they were so bright had to put my sunglasses on.
  19. Dam, I knew you were going to do it that weekend, out of town.
  20. I have been on the side lines most of last winter healing, I would take a try at it , further north?
