  1. I’m leaving on the 10th, being going up there as our last ride of the year for more than 15 years now. One year we were there mid May.
  2. I am heading North on April 10th…. Pushing the envelope for the last ride of the year but unfortunately it is the only time my group can go.
  3. This might be considered Fake News without pictures. 😜
  4. Make sure they ask for the Native Special.
  5. Thank you for the report. Heading to Montpellier on Friday morning and ride to Mont Laurier and back.
  6. This is me after a day of riding on snowmobile trips 😜
  7. They will be disappointed when the go under my Cummins to take the catalytic 😜.
  8. I did ride the private trail system last year. Trails are very well maintained and worth the extra money. After two days you’ll want to venture out. There are these guys from Toronto that have a YouTube channel (Sledaddics), they were up there for a week and did post a video of doing the private trail system.
  9. Hey Largedaryl… We unloaded at Km13, only because we were going to be super tight on fuel to get to Kipawa. I took two water bottle size of gas and carried it in my backpack. Sleds arrived on fumes. The 43 was groomed with a bit of fresh snow on top. I see on the map it hasn’t been groomed now for awhile. Yesterday I rode from Montpellier to Mont Laure. Trails were rock hard and smooth the whole way up. Sections where the trail is on roads are not nice. This little bit of snow we are getting now will help.
  10. Yes on the Qc side and it is a park office guessing it is for the Zec.
  11. Yes it was a day trip, approx 187km each way. I had a bit more track spin than others with a 1” track lol. There is a parking area in Swisha at the Park Office. A lot of people will drive to KM 13 and unload there but then you are parking on the side of the road.
  12. Strange, I didn’t edit the post and the pics still came up as links.
  13. Had a great ride on Friday with a few lads. Ottawa received a lot of rain on Thursday and will need a bit of snow to get back on track. Two hours north makes a huge difference. We left Ottawa at 6am drove up to Swisha, unloaded our sleds and rode to Kipawa. Round trip was 375km of beautiful trails. If you have not been up here, I highly recommend it. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/912B88DD-A7CD-4E7D-B5DF-83DEAB181C4F.thumb.jpeg.492e84a4d8d70393a5b97ede71213efb.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/94746646-7FC9-40C9-87BB-625E96FE46D3.thumb.jpeg.a9ed500deb2b47e7dbbf40392442f45a.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/F8757DCC-49B5-4977-A6FF-EC2C3D1D044E.thumb.jpeg.291a4169d39d2e89a05babb286866af5.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/E7BC3DB1-A859-43CF-B08C-DE74FF9D9DEC.thumb.jpeg.7362cd478ecb0151976c9a16dcc95632.jpeg
  14. Living in Ottawa has its perks as I get to ride Ontario and Quebec on the same day. I thought I would give you guys a little taste of my local riding area. I live on the west end of Ottawa right on the outskirts of the city with an rail bed that the club grooms right in my back yard. Thursday Bucky and decide Thursday is the day to ride as Friday is going to be numb biting. The plan is to cross the Ottawa River at Fitzroy Harbour where the clubs on the Ontario/Quebec were given permission to use an old train bridge to get over the river, ride up past Shawville and then to Ladysmith Hotel for lunch and then back home. Easy 300km ride. Just a few pics of the new Bridge, Warm up shack at Campbell’s Bay and of course the infamous Ladysmith Hotel. The W1 trail looking back at Ontario. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/D671A2CA-80EC-4DD9-BBBE-2260C5E66643.jpeg.0c370e25183c16d0af0ee884fbc33d5e.jpeg The bridge crossing the Ottawa http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/DA3E3D8C-1A56-4D5D-9794-F920B7C7CFBD.jpeg.1bbb59b56925b79dd7f6cc9700ffc0b2.jpeg The warm up shack. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/AE868A42-19DB-4D44-8B59-9F1D46C72226.jpeg.076dff03bcc97e4fe6cd21a9eca5c5f9.jpeg http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/DF367DEA-99A5-4344-945D-AAAEF3AB15B2.jpeg.f5ecd743d80964aa1231b8baae90a96b.jpeg The Ladysmith Hotel http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2023_02/5C260F05-4DFA-4BE8-B2EF-C9D7DBA85EB4.jpeg.7fbcc9e76fa531994916fe0be926416e.jpeg Not sure what happened here but we were feeling a bit sideways after 😜
  15. Your sons friends are good guys to tease the boy with the big windshield. This is what makes them tough and can handle criticism. To many softies being brought up in this world these days.
