You are 100% right, you have shown pictures recently of new bridges being built, Andyman showed pics of a new section of the TQ3 under construction, and there were pictures recently of a new groomer posted. The FCMQ funds a lot of projects every year....but can not fund them all.

I can't help but to think there is more to or another side to this story. Hard to believe the FCMQ would offer no financial assistance to this major region.

The trail from last year is still showing open. Maybe the local First Nations will allow snowmobiles to travel ghrough again.

I stayed at the Delice this summer on SXS. The owner told me then his plan was to close completely the end of October, citing labour issues. He said it would be the first winter closed since he owned the Motel. Sad. The Hotel Motel MSP in my opinion has been in need of upgrades for many years and it shows. I either stay in Saint Anne des Monts or Mont Louis.

I have seen the pictures but never been lucky enough to get there at the right time. Don't think it has been possible for a few years. Not sure about Table du Roland better call ahead for sure. There are places closing for the winter due to labour shortages, going to be a season to book in advance for sure.

Sad news. Certianly a heavily traveled trail. Hopefully the will still groom from the 595 up to the top of Mount Lyall. Hard to believe with the forestry road network in that area a detour could not be identified. The trail has already been removed from the FCMQ interactive map.

Heading to the Clarendon (1 block away) Dec 1, 2, 3. Quebec City in the winter is a good spot.

It is a great trip. Have gone from Baie Comeau to Sept-Iles a few times. BC to Godbout is an awesome roller coaster, from there to Sept Iles is beautiful running. Be sure to gas at Baie Trinitè.

For sure Quebec has it figured out for infrastructure and public buy in. Snowmobiling is a way of life in PQ. Trails through towns, on sidewalks, snowmobile silhouettes in crossing lights (La Tuque). Quebec sets the bar high for the rest of the world!

Usually an evacuation point is a known point where emergency responders can rescue someone. Or a known point for them to go to start a rescue ie; "10km east of Evacuation Point abc on the trail" The points may also be road crossings ambulances can access.

Quebec Tourism is also an option. Go online, pick the region, most have a section to order maps.

X2 The infrastructure they are putting in is very impressive. They do not chase the cheapest option. Their OHV bridges are world class! The province as a whole is very supportive of motorized sport.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. The picture of your sleds and significant others in front of the Rock is a "must do" on Gaspesie loops. Better leave early from Gaspe.
