  1. Hi Mike, been good to read your reports, are you still going to be there when Pat & I come out next Sunday ? Gary Nottingham, U.K.
  2. Cheers Bill, that's made me feel a lot happier, see you on the 8th Gary
  3. Oh thank you God and Mother Nature - keep the snow coming please Gary
  4. Could we have some sort of collective 'snow dance' please guys n gals. We are flying out from U.K. 7th February for our only chance each year to snowmobile and so can't put off our trip ! Watching the forcasts and trip reports everyday in the hopes of some good news. Gary
  5. Nice one Its good to know that you in the U.S. are in the same boat as we are in the U.K. thank God we can still laugh about it ! Gary
  6. Hard hitting stuff, but does just want you want it too - makes you think ! Gary
  7. Glad you got there ok Bill, all sounds good to me. Look forward to seeing you and JD on the 8th February. Gary
  8. Amazing ! Thanks for that - loved the excited dog with them ! Gary
  9. I know I'm a newcomer to the sport but can someone tell me how the hell you get a snowmobile on the roof of your car like that? Is it actually legal ? I think if you tried that here in the U.K. you'd probably loose your licence ! Gary
  10. Oh great a matching pair ! LOL Gary
  11. check out their website at www.bombardier.co.uk. Quite an interesting site and the place is only about 45 minutes drive away from us. Gary
  12. With you there Bill, its even worse for me. I'm in the U.K. and although I use a TomTom GPS on the road here, it seems you actually need a Garmin to download the trails onto or an SD card that only works in a Garmin ! So I decided I would buy a cheap Garmin just to use for the traials and I did start to read everything about downloading and overlaying etc. but closed the thread down and went and got a beer instead and started thinking 'do I really want the trails on a GPS' - unfortunatly I do! Gary
  13. Have just posted this question on another thread, but if anyone can help it would be appreciated. I have a TomTom GPS that I was hoping to use but being in the U.K. have no idea where to download trail map for the Sag. Region from. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Gary
  14. We have a TomTom (more popular over here than Garmin). Will check to see if there is a US/Canadian TomTom site with info on Trail maps. Any other info on this would be appreciated as a trail map for us would be invaluable. Thanks Gary
  15. Very interesting. Sounds good for Eastern Canada but a bit of a worry for the Olympic Games though !
  16. Forgive my ignorance Scorpionbowl but can you actually get a trails download for your GPS ? Gary
  17. As non-American's you probably don't want our input for your article Greg but just wanted to add anyway - All of the comments from above plus also for us, not only the hospitality of the Canadian's but, as new-comer's to the sport, the help, advice and friendship we have found from all our new made American friends (especiallly Bill and JD). Thank you all. Quite apart from the fact that Pat and I actually met there, both fell in love with the place and snowmobiling and have tried to come to the region every year since - its a long way for us from the U.K. (She made me add that last paragraph!!) Gary :)
  18. Thanks for that MrGutz, I assume they have safe parking for sleds? The place looks fantastic and have heard so many people talking about it. Do you have to book in well ahead or just turn up and hope? We are Already talking about trying to make our 2 weeks into 3 by using some Christmas holiday on top of our usual two weeks! Especially if Bill sources that place with the hot tub/waterfall ! Gary
  19. So many things/places we have to learn about yet  Gary
  20. Us too - and we only get to be there for 2 weeks every February ! Can anyone tell me whereyou have to stay to get that hot tub with the waterfall ? Looks a great place. Thanks Gary
  21. Thank you for the birthday wishes, much appreciated Gary
