Too early about trails closure or rerouted trails. As for rumors goes.Lac Édouard-Lac Bouchette would be groomed this coming winter using same route as 2 years ago.t would be maintained by Club Passe-Partout(Roberval snowmobile club). Other rumor about a new trail between Lac Édouard and L'Étape.Maintained by Le Goéland outfitter. We Will see.................
  2. Quebec City, September 10, 2007 – More than 400 representatives of clubs from across the province belonging to the Quebec Federation of Snowmobile Clubs (FCMQ) will be meeting at the Château Mont-Ste-Anne in Beaupré on September 13, 14 and 15. The theme of this year’s convention is Opération 100 000…moi j’embarque! The presidents and directors of snowmobile clubs will explore solutions that will ensure the development and continued practice of snowmobiling in Quebec’s regions. Participants will be able to attend workshops on the clubs’ various activities, management of the trail network, and the media and communications. The Quebec Ministry of Transport and the Sureté du Québec will present a joint workshop on the new laws that come into effect this season, as well as the presence of SQ agents on the trails. “We would like to take the opportunity of this meeting to review our methods for managing club members. It is imperative that volunteers get involved so we can better control access to our trails. This improvement is necessary to ensuring that snowmobilers can enjoy this exciting activity safely and under optimal conditions,” said Jean-Luc Sylvain, FCMQ president and a native of the region that is hosting this year’s convention. About the FCMQ The Quebec Federation of Snowmobile Clubs develops and promotes snowmobiling, an activity practiced by nearly one million Quebeckers and a sector that generates more than $1.5 billion in annual economic benefits. The Federation consists of 220 clubs representing more than 75,000 members. With support from 4,560 volunteers, the Federation’s affiliated clubs manage the sale of access permits for the 31,600-kilometre trail network in Quebec and ensure the network’s development, maintenance, signage and safety. More information is available at www.fcmq.qc.ca.

  16. Down the Hill (Devil's mountain)
  17. According to me........it doesn't look that bright but I hope I'm wrong. But Why....... -Bad resale value on sled. The market is simply not there.Paid my sled 12,400 CAD last year.Worth near 6,000 on the bluebook as of last saturday. -Landowners issues -Lack of volunteers -Less members across the Province. So less incomes for clubs. -Many clubs are not in bankruptcy but not too far off. Many of them can't keep up. -Groomers are very expensive. -etc.......... We are defenitively not in the 90's anymore....... What you guys think
