  1. Very sad, I wonder if they were on marked trail of boondocking?
  2. Baie Trinite and Point-Cartier
  3. Day 5. Today we started our way back to our starting point. It’s going to take four days and another 720 miles to get back. Woke up to 5° below zero and finished the day 25° with sunshine all day. We took a beautiful side trail today to add another 15 miles to the ride so it was 190 miles today.
  4. You should be fine if it’s only a day or so of warm up
  5. Day 4. today we traveled 180 miles from Baie Comeau to Sept-tiles. Last 125 miles was slot, car fast and smooth. Had about 15 miles of rough stuff 25 miles east of Baie Comeau. Woke up to bright sunshine again this morning. Tomorrow we start heading back on similar route that got us here.
  6. Day 3. Escoumins to Baie Comeau. 175 miles. Another sunshine day made for mild temperatures in the high teens. Trails were very good, except for about 30 miles, which were OK, but had chop in all the turns. The building by the water in the last picture is our hotel for the night. Le Manior
  7. Parking lots are no problem anymore, I finally put wheels on my sled supposed to get couple inches of snow tonight
  8. Today’s path took us from the Delta to Escoumins through Mount Valin. The Chapel was crowded but service is second to none. Trails leaving Jonquire, where acceptable once we got over the second bridge they got much better. The orange Trail past lor Piste was a little rough. Plenty of snow but needed groomer. Once we hit Trail 330 it was a 10. Surprised to see how much snow is here in Escoumins being near the river. There Has to be 25 trailers here must be a good starting point. Couple guys came from Sept-Tiles and said the trails are perfect all the way. Can’t wait!
  9. Correct, like most of you hate the idea of Mount Valin on a Sunday but that’s our best choice unfortunately
  10. Not yet, we went straight north to Jonquiere. Might cross on ferry 2nd last day if conditions get better there.
  11. Today we started a eight day 1500 mile saddlebag trip with Myself, Eric, Ken, Dan, Randy, and Kurt .Started in Saint Raymond and on to Sept-Iles. First 10 miles was snirt but not real bad. Got much better after that. All the way to Mount Apica. Rough for 20 miles after their then Pretty good almost all the way to the Delta. Was not bad getting into the Delta with wheels on the skis. 185 miles for the day.
  12. Just put the Rouski Evo’s on my sled. They are very well built and of high-quality. If you get the Evo, make sure you grind a angle on the end of the shaft like in the last picture. Makes for a lot easier install.
  13. Just checked, and in Imotoniege (Trail Conditions selected) it is showing green, not closed. http://quebecrider.com/forums/uploads/monthly_2024_02/IMG_2478.thumb.png.ce31fd044400f298f8cca266a493a92c.png
  14. Ice, speaking about wheels, I see yours stick up a little higher than others I have seen when not deployed. Are those the Rouski Evo's?
  15. We are also planning North Shore trip. Was able to get Le Manoir on way up but not on way back. Looks to be 2 other options. Le Grand Hotel or Travel Lodge. Le Grand looks really nice but probably a Shi* show getting to it. Travel lodge easy in and out but reviews didnt look too good. Any comments advice appreciated.
  16. We use Glove Box mount with touchless charger. Been in temps -40. Works great.
  17. Cell phones have built in gps. You only need WiFi or cell service to update conditions etc. we use Imotoneige everywhere. Its a great app.
  18. Today the ability to react to posts has started working again.
  19. Wow!, sorry to hear all that. On the bright side could be worse I guess. Good luck coming to you both 2024!
  20. We noticed it stopped rotating again also. Alain has a good contact and got it fixed last year. Hint Hint
  21. I remember going there first year it was built. You could play basketball inside as it was just a wide open room. Looks awesome now.
