  1. Sled looks great Terry, and so doesn't all the snow!
  2. Hopefully soon everyone can post how they like their new rides. Really anxious to hear how you like the new Catalyst and new 850 Turbo Doos.
  3. Thanks for the posts and pictures. Helps get me psyched to get out there again this winter.
  4. Nice to see you post again. You may have enough snow by this afternoon to ride around that big lake in Maine. Hopefully see you in RDL this winter. I should be easy to spot, just look for the yellow SkiDoo! lol
  5. Sandi, it'll be a tough year for the crew to keep up with us. Yellow is fastest!!!
  6. EastMark's thinking is right on. I am along the same lines. Follow the food trail around Quebec. A scenic mountain sight can't compare to a bowl of hot Poutine on the table encompassing all your senses of pleasure. Ten years later you won't even remember where that scenic mountain was, but eat Quebec food and you'll remember the where, the when, and who you were with. Oh, and don't forget to try the crepes!!!
  7. Thanks everyone. Got my hot rod, probably won't drive any faster than before, but I will feel and look younger on this new sled. And the excitement index for this coming winter is through the roof. Reading DooTalk, never heard of the 600R engine going down. Shop foreman at my dealer says they haven't had one 600R go down yet in the several years they have been available. Steve, I really wanted a Polaris but they are pricier. I worry Polaris dealers are so backed up on recalls that if I had a problem the sled may stay too long in the shop waiting for it to get worked on. The Matryx is still the best sled I have ever driven. And Eastmark. Tell Lisa she can try my new sled if I can try her new Cat Turbo!!! I thought my new sled would attract all all the women. But after seeing Mark's new Lynx, I will have to settle being his wing man. mike
  8. Haven't heard much news about QuebecRiders getting new sleds this year. Bought mine today. Last four sleds were 900 ACE's, needed something different. Maybe at 70 I needed one more hot rod before I get too old. '24 MXZ 600R two stroke short track (129).
  9. Northwest Maine and northern Maine also got 3-4 inches. I heard it has yet to melt.
  10. I recall on these forums quite a number of years ago that the farmers in this area were demanding money from the snowmobile clubs to cross their lands. As best I remember they did get paid. Maybe it is still a yearly thing.
  11. Over the years I have seen RDL post good trails by X-Mas a couple times. Watch for grooming reports and the club reports of the area that report trails by red, yellow and green. The new bar looks nice, loved the coziness of the old bar for sure.. Looking at the picture, the new bar almost looks like its at the room where the buffet used to be, but not sure. Hopefully Mark, you will be retired next year and will be at RDL more often. mike
  12. Happy Birthday Ray. Hope you are enjoying being a Mainer, and Hi to Ginger. Head further north this winter and we'll ride. mike
  13. I'll offer a completely different second option; Drive to St. George/Beauceville area (just above Jackman, Maine area) and save yourself hours of driving verses the Delta. If you can arrive early enough to this area, on day 1 ride to Riviere du Loup and stay at the Universel or Levesque Hotels. Riding east, stay on the southern trails that are near the Maine border and then pop up to Riviere du Loup. Day 2: Ride southeast via St. Cyprien, Squatek, into New Brunswick to Moose Valley and across to New Brunswick and back into Quebec to Amqui for the night. Day 3: Ride north to Rimuski and then west and stay another night in Riviere du Loup (using the trails near the St. Lawrence River). Day 4: Head west to Montmagny staying near the St. Lawrence, then drop south to St. George. This route takes you by numerous club houses, first class hotels, sled dealers, historic downtown Riviere du Lou and its numerous bars and restaurants. Each day is about 200 miles although I am not positive about mileage on day 2. For attractions you will ride through the mountains with the windmills, ghost trees, the absolutely stunning Moose Valley, a large mountain to ride up below Montmagny, the historic island out in the river off Riviere du loup and many more places others can suggest. mike
  14. I thought the 150 T was much louder than my 900 NA.
  15. Deano, You are always welcome to join us. Give a shout after next Christmas.
  16. The first pic I recognize Deano and his son, Ray and Ginger, Daniel and Colette, Bill and Juliedele, Snowcrazed, and a couple from PA, and another couple from Ontario whose names I can't remember. Second pic I recognize Bill and Juliedele, Pat and Gary, Brandon, Daniel, and Collette, Jack, Farmerold, Great memories! Thanks to SnowCrazed for posting these pictures.
  17. Playhard, rest and stay home, have a good recovery. Is the Aruba house key still under the front door mat?
  18. just wonderful reading abut your trip and getting to see your pictures. And I agree about the Levesque Hotel. Amazing views and amazing food. One year I hit their ice bar on the second floor outdoor porch. That too was amazing and amazingly cold. Have a wonderful summer. mike
  19. Thanks. I was thinking of heading up this morning and decided not to when I saw a chance of rain showers coming in a few days.
  20. How is the sledding in the area? There is a new place in Cabano (Auberge Gare??). Going south on #85 just before entering downtown Cabano, right side, old red house. Food is realy good, cute place inside.
  21. Toying with the idea of going to RDL tomorrow for a few days of day loops from the hotel. Anyone in the area with updates on how things look around the area? Are trails deserted or still people riding the area? mike
  22. To get the Chibougamau experience in its totality, staying downtown at the Hotel Chibigamau is a must. You and your friends will come away with great stories to tell your grand kids, and you will receive a decal proclaiming 'I survived a night in Chiboug'. A five star experience.
  23. As far as parking around Bar Harbor: Bar Harbor is so crowded with tourists and parking is a premium just to shop or eat. I would check Ellsworth, a small city before Bar Harbor. Maybe contact a towing company that has an impound lot is the best I can think of. mike
  24. Jim and Gemma, Your adventures are always so great to follow. Wish we could have met up this winter for at least a dinner. Take care and have a wonderful summer. mike
