  1. Fantastic pictures. Really like the Lynx pic! mike
  2. Sorry Crazy our vacations didn't align. Where are you staying, or are you touring? Hope the conditions stay good, they are totally awesome. mike
  3. Conditions in RDL area are nothing less than fantastic. Just wanted to pass this along. I took this pic then went inside to apply for a job. They asked if I could spell and how many 2015 sleds did I want to test next year. Kind of funny, SnowGoer has fleets of sleds, and they brought all SkiDoo's, most were ACE 900's.
  4. Enjoyed reading your daily trip journal and glad you enjoyed the area. I just returned to Riviere du Loup for another vacation. This area is a well guarded secret. mike
  5. Thanks for the info Iceman. Glad you got a chance to enjoy the area this past week. mike
  6. Hope to head up to Montmagny on 2/23/14, wondering if anyone is in the area and can report if theygot much rain. Hoping not enough to cause flooding in fields etc and hoping trails are back to normal in a day or so. Anyone??? Thanks, mike
  7. See why I go there and ride all winter. Nice area with great grooming! mike
  8. So Bill, tell us about the gentleman who you posted a picture of a couple days ago (the guide). Where did you run into him? Seems he is all over the place. I think I was with you or Ray the first time I met him. Saw him couple weeks ago near RDL. mike
  9. Great as always. One of the pictures riding the river is beautiful scenery. mike
  10. I ran into this gentleman a week or two ago between RDL and Montmagny. He was guiding at the time and immediately remembered meeting me in the past. I know I met him a few years ago, not sure if maybe I was with Bill at the time. mike
  11. Have a great trip. I am driving home tomorrow. Trails in Chaudière and Bas Laurent have been outstanding. If you go to Montmagny, Hotel L'oiseliere is outstanding, and great food! Trails are quiet on weekdays. Lots and lots of club relais's with good food. mike
  12. Bob, I am headed home Monday. Thanks for thinking of me, would be a nice trip. I am kind of getting used to staying put in one place these days and doing day loops. More relaxing. Nice to come back to a hot tub and all the nice things of a first class hotel, and do the miles I feel like and not the miles I have to. Getting old I guess. Will be back up, probably Montmagny, after visiting home for 6 or 7 days. Thanks, mike
  13. Agree on Andy's story from year's ago. I met him the first time the day after that storm. Baddest storm I ever witnessed. Storm in Montmagny was nothing like that, just very impressive winds. mike
  14. My friends always said they got about 20 US mpg with the Vector, also magazines always said it was usually the best mpg in their fleet.
  15. Must be a 'state of emergency' declared here. Tim Horton's closed for the storm!
  16. Very interesting read. Thanks Bill. Just amazing what they did in such short time. mike
  17. Here til Monday, Will look for the 'Iceman' Yamaha. mike
  18. I'm at the L'Oiseliere in Montmagny. Been riding more here than RDL this year, hotel a little better, trails just as good except this is a very, very busy area on the trails on weekends. Universal Hotel has been terrible foodwise at the restaurant this year, whereas L'Oiseliere is excellent and much cheaper in price. This is about a two hour less drive for me from Maine. mike
  19. No sense in grooming anyway until the winds die down. Hotel is full this weekend with hockey tournament but probably a lot of cancellations with the storm. My room expires tomorrow, suppose to be a bad travelling days until Monday, hoping for a cancellation and I can hunker down here. Besides, only need a few more miles to break 3K miles on the ACE, I'm hoping to be the first on DooTalk.com to do so on the new 900. Maybe I will win a new toaster! mike
  20. That dampener video is pretty convincing. It looks? like the Vipers got away from the ACT shocks on some models and went to HPG. That is good. Anyone wish for the Vector motor in a Viper for the mpg and fuel range? That to me would be a good setup for Quebec riding. mike
  21. I think Maine school vacation starts this weekend. I don't believe? that brings many U.S. people to Quebec.
  22. Started snowing last night. This morning still snowing and wind is unreal. TV said this area is having almost 100 K gusts, if I understood it correctly. Certainly looks it. Front counter at hotel has everyone trying to book another night. Two hardy sledders were getting ready to head out, they are nuts. mike
  23. Just awesome Andy! Great pics and report. I can say I was 'part' of this trip. Met Andy, Steve, Ross and Mike? in St. Pamphile. Followed them out for about ten miles. Always good to see Andy and Steve. mike
  24. Great report and pics! I just love those far remote places, more so if I was 40 years younger. But your report was just like being there. mike
