Be carefull, On Imotoneige with the trail conditions on, I clicked on some of the green trails up there to see when it was updated and some of them are from the 7th thru the 9th. Before the melt last weekend. I would call a couple of the hotels around the lake and ask how they are.

7 rooms for sure dated.
i see dinner and breakfast being the problem
You can eat and drink on the ferry. You will have plenty of time once on board.

Ya it’s to bad the snow we received here in Nova Scotia didn’t fall in Quebec.
That's just being greedy. You could have spared a foot or 2 for Quebec

Good morning guys, My riding partner is now available to leave. I reserved the last room at the hotel in Fort Kent, Maine for this coming Monday the 13th. We plan to cross into the Lower St Lawrence region of Quebec on Tuesday. I have no reservations made yet. My initial thought was to take the ferry at Matane, and ride the North Shore. Perhaps head West from there to get to the Mountain elevations. But I fear there will be a lot of people hitting that area for the same reason? Where would we stay? There is also a heat wave predicted for the weekend, and there is a section between Mont Joli and Matane showing yellow now... I realize the app is not the tell all, that's why I am looking for advice here from folks who are on these trails. I am leaning toward reserving in Riviere Du Loup for a couple days and play on the green trails. If it turns to crap, we can just come home. I appreciate any input. It's been pretty near two decades since I have done anything on the North Shore.
Just so you know and your reservations aren't screwed up Monday is the 12th.

You survived and made it home safe.
Remember the good old days when a Starlink was something only Captain Kirk used?
We made it through those times too, snowmobiling in Quebec.
The sleds were running good, no one was hurt and you're sitting in the middle of God's country and thats a problem?

Imotoneige will tell you. Click start on one end, and end on the other.

Maybe the skiers complained?

We also always used to wing it, but those days are gone. Some places are hard enough to get by booking ahead. Like Snowmaster said, hockey tourneys are the # 1 cause of room unavailability. (And the shrinking of Canadian parents checking accounts) 🤑 Last Friday the Universal was full of them!

I heard a truck just recently got taken from Le Cabanon parking area. I am not on facebook but heard it was on Quebec Rider facebook.
Maybe someone on this site that is, can confirm or deny.

So if I take 13 north to 83 and hang a left to go west to Clova that is all normal, correct? Thank you👍
I don't have boots on the ground there but the map says yes

They should charge the locals the going rate since they are used to it, and give the tourists a discount to encourage tourism and good will. 🤔

Guys are riding Casy to Barrage Gouin, no problem. Also riding Wemo to Barrage Gouin. Just that part of the 83 not groomed. Parant is loaning their groomer over there now to help.
So are they taking the forestier road or bushwhacking? Map doesn't show any trail at all above 83.

So what's the going price per liter of gas there this year?

The map shows closed from Wemotaci west to parent, and from the 345 junction south to Casey.

Made the St. Pamphile loop today. Trails totally mint, every inch. Lunch at Hiboux and saw Big Lake there. A few new reroutes this year but all good. Jak and Jack arrived today. Great happy hour with Paddy O and wife joining us. New sled should break 1,000 miles tomorrow.
Blueblood. After 50,000 miles on 900 Aces I needed a change. Wanted something sporty so got the 129 600R, The Polaris 650 is by far the finest sled I have ever driven, but 30% of the time I ride solo and I trust the SkiDoo. The Polaris may be dependable but I am just not sure yet.

How are you making out with the thumb/handwarmer situation?
