Made the St. Pamphile loop today. Trails totally mint, every inch. Lunch at Hiboux and saw Big Lake there. A few new reroutes this year but all good. Jak and Jack arrived today. Great happy hour with Paddy O and wife joining us. New sled should break 1,000 miles tomorrow.
Blueblood. After 50,000 miles on 900 Aces I needed a change. Wanted something sporty so got the 129 600R, The Polaris 650 is by far the finest sled I have ever driven, but 30% of the time I ride solo and I trust the SkiDoo. The Polaris may be dependable but I am just not sure yet.

How are you making out with the thumb/handwarmer situation?

I think that is the way they are on the new sleds. They saved the cost of one button. Lots of complaints about this. If you do get them set separately on every restart it reverts back to both. Search dootalk.

Not good. Place looked crowded.

Closed Shipshaw to St Ambroise
from Caribou Conscrits
Please take note that the portion of the #367 between St Ambroise and Shipshaw is closed and could be closed indefinitely. Work was underway to open this portion of the trail, but some property owners are asking for excessively high right-of-way fees, even though they are already receiving compensation from Ville de Saguenay. Negotiations with these owners led nowhere, and reasonable compensation was offered but refused.
Rights of way are fragile and increasingly difficult to negotiate.
The club is working to find a solution, but unfortunately for the time being the trail will remain closed.
All this crap is going nowhere fast. Hard to put the genie back in the bottle.

Can't find a place in Parent for Tuesday night she said it is full. So we don't have many options.
My next question is can we make Val-Dor to windigo I know it's 611 km they have rooms available.
Any other options for us . The place she said they where full was ombre-du vent
Any advice would be appreciated
Thanks
Greg
That's 380 miles.... If the trail is not groomed or there is fresh snow it will be a long day with no stopping to enjoy any hospitality.
It is doable but I wouldn't plan it on purpose.

Both hands on the handlebars!
Control of your vehicle must be a priority at all times, and this is why we do not recommend the use of hand signals when operating your snowmobile. While these have been promoted for many years to improve communication between snowmobilers, the reality is that their use requires removing the left hand from the handlebars, something which can create a risky situation. This is why the use of hand signals is no longer recommended by the Canadian Council of Snowmobile Organizations (CCSO-CCOM) and the International Association of Snowmobile Administrators. So, think about safety and keep both hands on the handlebars at all times!

It does not look like the Quebec ATV Association recognizes Polaris Ride Command, hard to say how snowmobile/ATV mapping will be shared in the future. Could end up being only who the Federations decide to partner with.
Too bad the Quebec Federation didn't partner with BRP GO. That is the ski doo app that is used in conjunction with the map feature on the new Ski Doo's, you know, the ones built right in Quebec..? I would love to see the IMotoneige app on my dash.

Not sure about ATV, but snowmobile trails work in Quebec. At least they did last year.

Have you tried the Polaris ridecommand APP on your phone there?

Nothing to do with an old operating system. I'm on the latest Windows 11 and latest Chrome and it does not work. It's the ancient POS forum software that also gives us the hideous picture posting failure's also, (links instead of imbedded).
Same with me . I also was told it was because of an older computer(at work)and hasn't worked for a few months, but it worked to use it at home, with new computer, it recently doesn't work on the new computer anymore. Also can't scroll thru pages in a post. And also can't open the pinned area region forecasts.

WOW ,That sled in the first pic must be the extreme lite version. It's actually floating. Must not be topped off with gas,or you put in helium instead of super unleaded.

Really?? One of the yellow ones is 93 and another is 373. Yellow indicates acceptable trails the step before green trails.
Yes you are correct. The grooming setting shows all gray. I didn't look at the Trail conditions setting, just trails.

Those are secondary trails. You have to click on the snowflake icon in the upper right corner of the map and then click on grooming..........All grey so far
