Gee can I post on this thread about my Quebec trip or is just about Tug Hill now???!  LOL!
Anyway I made it to Clayton on Thursday. I will say I’ve been going up and down 81 for a long time and been through many snow storms. Thais one was the worst by far. I actually thought about just stopping a couple times. I’m no rookie to driving in bad weather and it really concerned me a few times. But I made it!!
Thursday afternoon Dad and I checked out trailer and sleds and got to hang out with some friends . Loaded up early Friday morning and headed to Shawinigan. Made it there about 2:30 so enough time for a quick 40 mile warm up!!
Left there a little later than planned ( 8:30-8:45)but hey that’s how it always goes! 
Finally made it to the Delta around 8:30 tonight! In the grand scuff things it was a good ride! 
Food just got here so I will finish today’s report in the morning! 

The last thing I am doing before I head north!  Just a quick post. Truck is ready ,dad has the sleds ready in NY and I'm leaving North Carolina as soon as I'm done here!
Looks like we are starting in Shawinigan on Saturday and headed for the Delta for the weekend then down to meet some friends on 3 and head up the north side to the ferry in Baie Comeau to Matane and back down the south side to Levis and across by truck from there.!
That"s the plan anyway! We shall see how that works out! The biggest slow down I see is the weather north of Syracuse. I'm going to drive up into PA tonight and finish the ride in the morning.
Hopefully we get to run into some other QR people on our adventure! Looking forward to it!
So with that said everyone be safe out there and I will give a report as we go and if not when I get back for sure!!

Great videos! Last year was my first time from Relais 22 to La Touque. I can remember just about every spot I saw on the video! Especially the bridge on the north side! And the river north of Shawinagan is a must do also!

It's hard for me to justify the money for the O2 when I'm still in my ten year old Mod 2. Outside of loosing one of the screws to hold the shield on I have not had one thing to complain about. I even tried a BV2 and it didn't make the cut. Ended up buying a new Mod2 in Matane and shipping the BV2 back home in 2015. That was NOT a cheap trip that year! 
But thanks for the info about the new ones guys! Maybe next year!!!

Now that I am retired, I don't plan my trips too far ahead. Just wait for a good forecast and a good day to travel.  When I worked, I knew my vacation schedule months in advance. Wish I could be more precise, it would be great to meet up.   I haven't even made reservations yet.  Still trying to get all the medical appointments out of the way this week so I can free up the calendar for the rest of the season.    But please, check with me when you are passing through, if I am at RDL, we need to  have a drink, maybe a couple drinks!

I think I seen the evidence when we came back from Chiboogie! I remember thinking to myself that someone had a good work out getting out of there! Pretty sure we passed you guys about 20 miles east of the saw mill!

I'm not sure of the exact details but over Sunday night we stayed at Relay 22. As we were eating dinner a guy left out on a sled. Maybe 20 minuites later he came back in and we could tell he was hurt. He was of coarse speaking french so we didn't know what was going on. Later I was taliking to couple others who spoke english and asked what happend. They told me he hit another guy on a 4 wheeler. Now I don't know if it was where the trails crossed or not but it did make me a little more leary of the stop signs where they do cross. Just thought I would put this out there.
I am curious as to how the guy made out. I don't think his life was in danger but he was hurting for sure.

We stayed at Drakkars and headed up the river (AWESOME!!) then up 355 then to La Touque for lunch. From there to Robervall.
Next day Chiboogie for the night. Back to Relais 22 for the night. Then back to the truck.
For the most part it was a GREAT ride. Trails were second to none. Only hickup was one in the group ended up in the trees on the way back to the truck Monday. A little sled damage but no injuries. So as far as I'm concerned it's all part of the adventure. Not really sure what happened. Seasoned rider who is probably more carefull then most. But like I said no one was hurt so I feel no harm no foul! Tonight is the first night I have had time to get back on QR. Thats why no reply earlier.
All in all we had a great year! Around 2200 to 2300 miles. Not the most for us but not the least either. I am already looking forward to next year!!!

I can't take it anymore. All you people talk about is how GREAT it is to be riding, I know I have already rode 1350 miles this year but IT'S NOT ENOUGH. And to top it off it's 75 degrees here in North Carolina. How can someone dream about riding their new snowmobile when its 75????? Then to top it off I have to come in to the office and read about what a great time everyone is having. I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE. So........ with that said I guess I'm going to just have to go back in March to see just what the hype is all about.

I agree with Viper. If you work more your old dad can play more. But then again I thing you were taught that way.
