  1. More than likely the cellular carrier either has a temporary cell site in the area, or they built a permanent coverage site.
  2. I’ll take the groomer for the win!
  3. Time for a heated seat and remote start.
  4. Just had one today on Tug Hill, NY. Placed bets on whether or not the groomer would get it out. No one took that bet.
  5. Can’t beat a Honda generator! Darn things are amazing.
  6. Gotta ask and excuse my ignorance, what is the Horseshoe?
  7. We have one of those too. Growing up around three dogs the cat comes when he is called, sits when he’s told, shakes when told. The gets a treat just like the dogs. We aren’t cat people but ours is one cool cat.

  9. As a former Rochestarian I will tell you that Mont Laurier and Saint Zenon/Saint Michele des Saints are two of the easiest/shortest drives you can make. Our group of 6 really likes starting in Mont Laurier due to the easy drive. A couple years ago my wife and I drove up to the Forestel in Val d Or late in the winter. Yeah, it’s a longer drive albeit easy driving. What you described as your past trips I wouldn’t consider West. More central and east. Many on QR will say west is best. I would suggest to start in Val d Or at the Forestel. Nice place, good food. No worries about leaving your trucks/trailers there. Day 2 to LaBannik south of Ville Marie. Day 3 to Villa Mon Repos in La Sarre. Day 4 back to Forestel. The trails out west are truly worth the drive.
  10. Big money in their gas revenue. I confess, been getting gas there too. How is getting in to Manawan for gas these days? We have been taking the trail to bypass Manawan the past few years.
  11. Brings back a memory. Back in 2013 our group of 6 decided to give the Michigan UP a try for something different. On day 2 of our saddlebag trip we rode up on a ridge overlooking Lake Superior with the city of Marquette across the bay. We look back down on the trail and see this Jeep Grand Cherokee struggling down the trail. The guy pulls off the trail, game over STUCK! We come down off the ridge to help him. No way, the 6 of us can’t budge it. Luckily the groomer comes down the trail and yanks him out. Why was the guy even on the trail? He was going to park his Jeep where he got stuck and walk a short ways through the woods to sneak into ski hill to snowboard.
  12. Not uncommon. Have seen it a few times.
  13. Not good. A lot of gas is sold there.
  14. 315 miles if you followed the exact route the iMotoneige lays out.
  15. I replaced my Montana 600 with a Garmin GPSMap 276Cx. The 600 still works fine though the screen seems to get smaller as the years go by. I like the actual buttons on the new unit vs the touch screen. It also uses the same cradle as the 600 so it was plug and play. The 276 does double duty in the summer as the backup on the boat.
  16. My guess is they don’t want to open the floodgates until the have a good base?
  17. It would be better if he showed up to pull you out.

    BOLO

No market for them in Northern Africa
  19. Thanks for the link MrGutz. They are certainly cheap enough. I may be getting a new sled for the wife and will try these. Mccaffrey, we may have seen your sled at Marineau Mattawin last year? (Maybe the year before?)All six of us commented on them thinking they would be better. Thanks

Stealing that should carry a death sentence!
  21. Where did you get those? I have the side deflector mounts, but maybe would move to those on my next sled rather than purchasing the Ski Doo mirrors. Really liked them on my 05 and 06 Revs.
