  1. I am happy to see others like the Hotel Manoir, I have that booked, then from there to Sept Illes, I want to come back and stay somewhere closer to the Godbout Ferry…any suggestions are appreciated. I know there must be places that don’t sponsor the map? Not sure my group would make the Ferry from Sept-Illes for the 11 am Ferry. Thanks for any assistance!
  2. Wow!!! That’s insane!! Lucky beautiful and scary! Love this thanks for sharing!
  3. New owners this year and it looks like there will be more service and the same price. As well if you have CAA or the American equivalent you get a better price. 🥳
  4. I drove by last year and it looks decent enough. $130 a night. That Relais has great food and a bar. Beside gas and convenience store.
  5. This is great news as I hope to do this trail/area this season!
  6. serge.gaudreault@ville.saguenay.qc.ca Think it would help at all if we emailed the councilor and president of ORV?
  7. Very nice of you to offer your field! We appreciate all the land owners like you. I found an article that is in the new Imotinege magazine. It talks about the new evacuation points. Maybe there are just more this year, but on the map if you select that, wow, lots of them everywhere.
  8. And looks like the cell phone will work there. I just bought a new Apple Watch and it will tell me how to get back to the last spot with service. I found an article in the Imotinege magazine that these 911 spots were an addition to the map but that they took Out bars! Lots of relays going to beer and no hard stuff.
  9. Hello to all! Looking at the interactive map. Was this security section here before? Is this new this year? Each one has a number associated. As much as I presume it’s a way to let someone know where you are. I would love to know for sure what they pertain to. Anyone with more info?
  10. Volunteers are what make everything work. Thanks to these guys!
  11. We saw the emergency lunch there. The dinner was ok, not fabulous but after moose valley at lunch we were not very hungry. What a difference a chef would make for sure.
  12. I hear it happens. Not always. But…. i am going somewhere that’s for sure. How is Vallin doing with the new owners at the ski hill? It was pretty busy my last trip. I think the word got out lol
  13. The fee was all sorted, nothing for this year, we are good to go.
  14. Last winter we had lunch at Moose Valley then continued on to Restigouche Cabins…lots of room for 3 not sharing a bed…and a real wood fireplace. They give you food to put in your oven. We liked it, nice people, very clean and comfortable.
  15. Christmas and New Years? Did someone order snow???
  16. This is fabulous news! I would love to do this trail this year to the Delta!
  17. We stayed at La Petit Manoir (beside the fairmont) two years ago, took the truck/trailer with us. Brutal to get in this area with the trailer. Won't do that again. That price on the travel zoo is non refundable but still a good price for sure.
  18. Happy Birthday Jean-Guy! Hope you have a great day filled with sunshine and the cameras. we loved our visit again this winter! Great to see you my dear friend ❤️😎
  19. Great trip report Jeff! Thanks again for including us in your trip to Chibougamau! We had a great time with you and Sandy. Hope to see you this summer at Sarnia Bay Marina. Linda
  20. We stopped in three times this trip and have nothing but good things to say. Lots of staff, great food and a lovely fire! Make a point of stopping in.
  21. In the past Jack was awesome. He was a great guy and we had a great time at Hotel Copper. Rooms were relatively clean, dated, simple and I always felt it was like staying at a rooming house. But definitely a fun place to come out of the snow. Sadly, I had a similar experience this week. He was short and irritated. Asked me if I knew what was happening in Quebec! ?? You have to take the package $169 each. Salmon or chicken croquet. I said we would rather just pay the room and order from the menu. He said there is no menu. 😞 The table of 4 guys beside us asked if they could start with a salad, they would be happy to pay. Well it was the same salad as on the plate. Lettuce and dressing. We ate, they basically shut the lights off and you feel like it’s time to go. I think it was jacks wife and daughter working. Last year our room had no hot water ( top of stairs king bed) and we were in a hurry so I brushed my teeth and sucked it up. This year, same room and no hot water. He was mad at me that I asked for a different room. We were speaking with others on the trail they said same thing. They complained and he said wait…45 minutes no hot water. Just a sad atmosphere. I would love to help support them but two years now. I am going to look for options. it would help if he wasn’t chain smoking in his office. 😞 Would love to hear suggestions. lindasledgirl
  22. Did you try Glacier? I would stay there, on the trail, great food, gas and the owner is very helpful.
