  1. Check out this post on a 4 day trip we did 2 weeks ago. http://www.quebecrider.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=841
  2. It never ever gets old does it??????????
  3. Thanks for all the reply's guys. We had an awsome trip. We managed to put on 836 miles in 3 1/4 days. Day 1 - (347-360-355-73-83) Left St. Roch de Mekinac around 8:30am and trials this morning were perfect. First set of track on the pipeline (355). Gassed up in La Tuque and headed out 73 to Relias 22. This trail needed help, but 83 towards Roberval once again was awsome. 235 miles for the day. Day 2 - (Lake-83-383-23-93) Woke up to -23° brrrrrrrrr. We took the short cut across the lake to Chambord and picked up 83. Headed through Alma and picked up 93 to the ski center in the Valins for lunch. Stopped at La Chapel(sp) for gas then continued to Sacre'-Couer. I felt like I was in a Dr. Seuss book on 93. It was snowing hard and all the trees were totally covered. 209 miles on the day. Day 3 - (3-local 94- local 54-378-local 64, back to 3) Woke up to snow but shortly turned to a sunny day. We were trying to get to St. Raymond this day, but because we need to find an Artic cat and Doo dealer we just ran out of time so we stayed at the Quebec Inn. Trails were awsome to start the day, but slowly got worse. Not sure if the groomer was broke down, but we rode 20 miles of hell after lunch. The the power lines were not groomed and lots of wind blown coverage, but still had a blast. 257 miles for the day Day 4 - (3-73/23-73-353-318-351-360-347) What and awsome day this was. Every trail we hit put a huge smile on my face. I like to call it PERMA GRIN. We were back at the truck @ 12:30 had lunch loaded up and headed home by 2. 136 miles for this short day. 93 in the Mount Valins. Crossing the ferry. Somewhere on TQ3 Somewhere on 318
  4. Bill - I am headed up tonight and leaving from the de-Mekinac area riding up 355 to Roberval. I am looking for the best route to take from Roberval over towards 93 headed to Sacre Coeur area? Roughly how many miles will this be? It has been my dream for many years to ride 93 through the Mt. Valins. I have been as far as the ski area and played in the Valins just have never made it all the way on 93. Thanks for the advice. Oh we are staying at Chatue Roberval. Thanks, Bob
  5. Thanks GTSE800 - I love the pipeline. I know it is longer but I love the ride from relies 22 (83) to Roberval. It is that section on 73 out of La Tuque I could live without. I also have been on 355 when it has not been Groomed which can make a long ride.
  6. Thanks - we are doing that same trip almost. Leaving St. Joseph de Mekinac to Roberval. Then out to the Mt. Valilns and over to the Saint Lawrence. How far from the ferry is the Faimont? Then down towards Shawinigan area. We are leaving Friday night and I know this is a few days early, but is it better to take 355 or 73 up to Roberval. Thanks
  7. Anyone have a website for the Fairmont? Thanks
  8. I would try leaving from Bernards place in Shawinigan. Secure parking and pick up service if you break down. It is an easy one day ride from his place to Roberval. I have done this many time with my wife.
  9. Three of us are headed up Feb 2nd to the 5th. Leaving from Bernards and headed towards Roberval depending on snow conditions around Roberval. Second day headed over to Tadoussac and the 3rd day down toward St. Raymond area. Back to the truck the last day. Can't sleep already just thinking about the trip.
  10. I am not sure we are staying at the HI this time. Might just be passing through that is why I wanted to know how to get there. Thanks again.
  11. We are coming up to the area the first week in Feb. How do you get to La Chapelle from the HI? Thanks
  12. Thanks, I was just looking for there number and now I don't have to.
  13. Thanks Gary. That place saved me last year, -12F and about 15 miles from there my heated shield stopped working. I just called them and they do not rent at this place. I will have to keep looking.
  14. Thanks for the update. Do you know if the dealer ship next to the Roquemont rents sleds? If so do you know the name or number for them? I would like to take my brother up this year and he needs to rent. Thanks Bob
  15. Email sent Ryan - Thanks again for your help. Bob
  16. Ryan - Thanks for your help ordering the Groomer beacons for our club. The question I have is I was looking at your website under groomer channels and I don't see our Club (South Warren Snowmobile Club) Do I need to register our club or something. Thanks, Bob

    New Ski's

Thanks for your response. I would be interested in your pilot ski's. I am also looking at a brand new pair of SLP SLT's. What would you be looking to get for your pilot's?

    New Ski's

I am looking for new ski's for my wifes 05 GSX 600 SDI. I am not sure what to get and looking for some recommendations. Rob I believe you replaced yours and was just wondering what you are using and how happy you are with what you put on. Thanks, Bob
  20. I do understand that this is your opinion, but a new sled is lets say 8K. Even if you buy new skies ever 2 years at lets say $1000 for skis, boot, and bindings. that is only roughly 3K over 6 years. Do you keep a sled for more then 6 years? You are still ahead by 5K over that six year priod. That is lots of money to go towards skiing over a six year time frame and that is just the sled portion. I to used to ski and I can not even compare how much money I have spent on sledding compared to skiing. IMO it is not even close.
  21. You are trying to compare the price of new high-tech skis to the price of a new sled, clothing, helmet, clothes, etc. Good luck on that one.
  22. Thanks - When I start in Mauricie I usually do start from Bernard's. Shit I spent my honeymoon there 3 years ago. We spent the night there then headed over to Hotel Sacacomie. My cousin and I were going to try one of your trips you have linked on your website this year.
