Breaking down and having to be towed

Sooner or later it happens to all of us... we break down.   Last year my crankshaft sensor failed.   If you are towing a sled for a long way, this will save you

This is a flexible 54 inch roll up sled.  It can be tied into the track and the sled can be towed easily.  Keep in mind you need to tie the  snowmbiles bumper to bumper so you can stop the broken sled.    The guy who owns the sled that is pulling you will thank you for it.   Even with the belt off... a free spinning track still has a lot of drag.

Depending on the situation, anything you have in your saddle bags.  I think a pair of jeans might even work, a long sleeve shirt usually fits the bill.  And yes, you do usually owe the guy towing you a new tail light, in addition to the new belt you should buy him for towing you.

How do you go about tying them bumper to bumper? Curious to ssee what that looks like.  Do you not get damage between the two sleds?

Did this with the wife a few years back in Maine, 35 miles back to truck. Wife hopped on back of my sled and we made good time.

Myself I like to tow with about 6 feet of rope, just enough so the snow comes off the towing sled track hits the hood of the towed sled and the over the wind shield and into the guys lap. He must pay for not doing something that caused him to be towed. Best if it's one of your kids. Lol
