Sainte Anne du lac north

An acquaintance called me this evening saying he is staying at a really posh lodge on a lake somewhere northeast of Claremont. Not sure if this is the area you are talking about, but says lots of snow and great sledding.

Just texted friend, he said it is Auberge du Ravage where he is at. He was really excited about how good the riding was when he called the other day. He hadn't gone up to Saguenay yet when he called, said he heard that area was a little thin.

If anyone has any info on 345 as well it'd be appreciated. Is it open all the way up to TQ83 north of Kanawata? Groomer map shows a 20 km section that didn't get groomed with everything else. Am thinking we'll try a loop and stay at the new place in Casey if everything is opened.

From what I understand they put a building up this year. I believe the yurts are closed for the winter. They certainly weren't part of iyr plan.

Yes , the FB page shows just that ... real rooms

Yes they confirmed via e-mail that we aren't staying in a yurt. Lol. All booked in for next weekend. Will be neat to see the new place. Just need to sort out what the story is with the last 20 km of 345 south of Casey that didn't show groomed with the rest of it this morning.

I wouldn't worry about that section. It's one of the nicest runs in all of QC. I'm sure there has been very low traffic on it considering very few have made it that far north so far this season. I'll bet it's groomed before you get there.

One of my favorite places. Great cuisine!

Noel & Jack do an excellent job.

FYI - I spoke with Noel the other day.  His brother Jack sold the place in November.  Bummer.  Like you said, they always did a great job.

There is a parking area just past the restaurant. Sometimes you can park in behind as well. It’s not a secure lot but I’ve left there many times over the years for days at a time and no problem and we have newer nice rigs and not afraid to say it’s fine.

If there’s no room left at the Touriste in SADL there is a municipal parking lot just up the road from the restaurant.  The parking lot at the touriste is small and the groomer cuts through the middle of the lot on his way back to the groomer shed.
