Ontario/Quebec Ride Feb 2

Living in Ottawa has its perks as I get to ride Ontario and Quebec on the same day. I thought I would give you guys a little taste of my local riding area.

I live on the west end of Ottawa right on the outskirts of the city with an rail bed that the club grooms right in my back yard. Thursday Bucky and decide Thursday is the day to ride as Friday is going to be numb biting. The plan is to cross the Ottawa River at Fitzroy Harbour where the clubs on the Ontario/Quebec were given permission to use an old train bridge to get over the river, ride up past Shawville and then to Ladysmith Hotel for lunch and then back home. Easy 300km ride.

Just a few pics of the new Bridge, Warm up shack at Campbell’s Bay and of course the infamous Ladysmith Hotel.

Great pics and thanks for sharing Fozzy !! I wished I lived closer to where all the great snowmobiling is. Years ago we started from Cheneville/Lac Simon area and went north from there and that's still a 6+ hr drive. Here are some of the places I can recall driving to over the years to start a trip and it all starts south of Rochester, NY.

St Jovite/ St Agathe  (2-3 times back 20+ yrs ago)

St Jean-de Matha  (many times)

St Zenon                 ( a shit ton of times)

Riviere Mattawin   (5-6 times)

Latuque  ( at least twice)

Relais 22  (once in 2004)

St Honore    (once)

Quebec City  (2-3 times)

Riviere du Loup  (2-3 times)

Les Escoumins    (once)

St Pamphile    (twice)

Mt Laurier  (at least 3 times)

Louvicort    ( two that I can think of)

Le Domaine (probably at least 4 times)

Valdor         (at least 3 times)

Lebel Sur Quevillion   (twice)

and I'm certain I'm forgetting one or two......LOL
