Does anyone have any info about the TQ3 between Forestville and Baie Comeau. I didnt know if they were just low on snow or if they have bridge issues. I thought that i heard somewhere that they had eliminated the escort truck over the river and had built a new bridge. We were planning on passing through there in a couple of weeks. Thanks ahead of time for any info anyone may have.

Hi Northbound,

Wecome to Quebec Rider.

I've read the same thing about 3 but I don't know what exactly is closed. What I read earlier was the escort was gone but you could still pass without it.

I think the new bridge may be for next year.

Depending on where you are traveling to and from, you could take the south shore, trail 5, and ferry across at Matane if you are heading to Sept Iles.

Thanks for the info. The new report is showing limited which means groomer is probably right in that they are just low on snow. Hopefully that will improve............revct1, I think we may have met you several years ago in Latuque. We are Jeff & Sandy from Ohio. We remember meeting a couple from Ct. who came up on weekends and kept their sleds in Valcourt. Was that you? If it was, Hi again. We usually start around Q city, loop the Gaspe, ferry across @ Matane, and then loop Lac St J.......................Groomer, someday I hope we will meet you. We have always really enjoyed looking at your pictures, summer and winter. We have been looping the Gaspe since 2000. We have seen your work, but we have never seen you on the trail. When we pass through you may be posting or shaving? Seriously, we usually overnight in Amqi so we pass your cluhouse in the morning when it is closed. It is so nice to see someone who takes such pride in his work..................THANK YOU Jeff & Sandy

hi jeff and sandy !!

thank you very much for the comments !!

happy for you if you like my work and pics !!

saw your post last night ,but last monday i caught a cold/rheum and was in very bad shape.not minded at all to reply.i was burned !!feeling better tonight .spent the whole week on the couch !! ha !! ha !!

well since 3 years ,instead of starting my runs at the end of the afternoon and coming back between 4 am and 8 am.now i start my runs between midnight and 4/5am depending where i go.this give me more chances to see members on the trail.feel better at the end of the run .i don t know how to say that ,but i feel less ''zombie '' than grooming only at night.

one day i hope were going to meet.i already missed a few this season.

btw ,next week ,it ll be 11 years of grooming for me .started in mid feb 00.i did my first 2 runs( 12 hrs each ) with the ex-operator ,then on the third one ,i was alone by myself.

thanks again !!

Hi Jeff & Sandy,

It sounds like it was probably us at La Tuque. We only know one other couple from CT that keeps their sleds in Valcourt and we ride with them but they don`t post here.

We stayed at Lac Faillon last night and spoke with two frenchmen that live in Baie Comeau. They drove their truck to Les Escoumins because of the low snow conditions at Baie Comeau. They were also out for a big trip.

Hope to see you on the trail again.

Jack & Sandi :drinks:
