Anyone learned anything new about the proposed parc linear by-pass around the closed section near Tremblant??

Supposedly, everything was to be in place for a detour around the closed section for this winter (2012-2013), which would rejuvenate Ste-Agathe and the whole surrounding area by re-establishing the direct shot to Laurier.

Policy harmonization (ORV trail vs. logger)

Although the summer is not the ideal time to talk snowmobile ... stakeholders working hard to try to solve the problems!

Wednesday 18 .. stakeholder meeting Laurentian ... MRNF .. Responsible OHV .. club presidents concerned ... about the alignment between the OHV clubs and explotants forest when there is use of OHV trails in the forest

In the past the use of the land n was not always the most Harmonious ... in general could care less about the forest OHV ... Excessive scraping and sanding .. forced the club to close the trail and often make detours of several tens of kms

Following the meetings of the consultative Laurentian and repeated complaints from clubs ... in the new policy of exploitation of forests ... a policy of harmonization is pregnant in the future forest operators will arrange to meet s snowmobile trails (and ATV) IN COLLABORATION WITH CLUBS s in arranging to make way OHV ... eg sidewalk snow .. widening of the road ... control of sanding ... appropriate signage

The, the forest will required to contact the clubs al advance and make decisions together

This is a step in the right direction! We thought that in

Snowmobile club president and red devil

Salut Jean-Guy

How goes your summer? Must be hot and muggy in the woods this summer? Many thanks for the info off the french forum. Throughout Lenaudier and the Laurentide the bare-plowing, sanding (with clunkers), and disregard for the trail ROW has been a huge problem for the clubs for a lot of years. A little detant between the clubs and the forestry people is a real good sign. Also good to see that they are addressing snow on the road shoulders in the same effort. Should be good for us in a lot of the rural towns where trails run along the road.

Merci pour tout. A bientot.
