artcat900
Besides the crossings at Sorel and Matane does any one know of any other crossings that are snowmobile friendly?
Trailblazer
That's all there is Artcat900, and last I heard the crossing at Sorel in no longer snowmobile friendly, when you are on the Sorel side there is a lot of road and sidewalk to do and Police are watching, there is a shuttle service at the Trois Rivière bridge and the Quebec bridge aside from that the only snowmobile friendly crossing is Baie Comeau/Godbout to Matane

dooright
There is still a snowmobile rate on the Sorel ferry site http://traversiers.com/ferries/sorel-tracysaint-ignace-de-loyola_12.php#Fares
timbo
The Berthier/Sorel crossing is still supposedly open. Problems are with snowmoble access on both sides of the river. As mentioned, on the Sorel side you have to juke onto the riverfront park to your immediate left after you get off the ferry. Working your way out to the TQ trail entails a whole bunch of road shoulder running and city streets till you get out to the old RR ROW; then you are good to go. On the Bierthierville side, half the time you look at the club websites it shows that the crossing is closed. Once you get off the Bayonne river on the trail to the ferry, if there is low snow you have a jug-screw. We did it twice last winter......it was a challange. Pretty much depends on snowcover.
