Using Google Maps it shows two ways to get there, one above the lake, the other below. We did the Below route last time and I was wondering about the border crossing at Hill Island at the end of US route 81, is it usually low volume or is it a pain to get through? Anyone else going? Like any boarder it just depends on what time of the day you go through . I can tell you from Syracuse to bowmanville Ontario is 4 and a half hours . Without traffic to show should be an hour and a half from there. You hit traffic on 401 from there to show add at least another hour!!
