powhd
Had anyone stayed there recently. Hoping to go for feb early in week. Usually go to montgamy.. But trying to break in a novice sledder! Thanks! Edited January 27, 2015 by powhd
actionjack
I was there last weekend. I like the Four Points and you can take loops in any direction but it is an urban area so there are road crossings and more traffic on the weekends. They have a locked "pen" for sleds and the parking lot is on video. I was nervous myself but locked my truck and trailer as much as possible. There were 2 snow covered rigs in the lot that didn't movr while I was there but they were QC plates. I'm not endorsing their truck security because that is a short list for me, only stating what I observed.
powhd
Thank you much! They .... wanted Fairmont but that is overkill. As long as locked pen I can sleep. And this early in season just don't wanna take a chance when everyone is going to maine.
ct rider
Hey I have stayed there many time with no problem. When my trailer is empty I leave it unlocked Let some one look in better than damaging the doors. I always cover my vin number so they can't call there friend at the dealer for a key. Covering the vin is a good idea...but the NYS vehicles have vin right on windshield sticker easy to read and cant be covered ! When I lived in NY...and i got the renewal I put it on with tape so I could peel it off if needed!

actionjack
The Fairmont Richelieu is a nice destination ride doable by novice from the Four Points. Not worth the extra drive in the truck IMO. I took my family for their 1st taste of the Quebec experience we enjoy and they loved it. The outdoor spa at the Four Points is almost as nice as the one at the Fairmont. I wish I knew of a good local restaurant near the Four Points. The Fairmont in Montebello looks to be a closer drive but no outdoor spa.
powhd
Yes saw that it's 150. For Monday nite at fairmont. Was always on bucket list.Xl;) hear mixed reviews about that place. Nice to be near nite life. But 4 points is swell. No restaurants right there. .149. Nite For Friday and sat. Would like to saddle out of 4 points someplace better than montgamny. Or like Mt laurier. Also the mt diable mountain was nice restaurant at summit. Yes a little far and different area. Florida Snowman
Vegan Snowmobiler? Now that's a new one!
actionjack
I like the Richelieu. Rooms are nice. Outdoor pool is awesome. The restaurant is hit or miss, sometimes great, sometimes so so. I believe you can taxi in to town for diner type breakfast and other restaurants. The place is so empty when I have been there its a wonder it stays open (I think it is govt subsidized). Parking underground has been a real blessing the previous 2 season which were SO cold. Im not into the casino and my gambling friends say it needs "table games". If you take 83 to LSJ region you have to stop at Auberge du Ravage. VEGAN! Thats almost a shame with all the game available! Well can you have salmon or trout? Edited January 26, 2015 by actionjack
Jackstraw
Do they know what a vega is in QC?
800steve
Gonna check it out. Doing vegan, and tuff finding places to eat!! Good luck, I have been a vegetarian riding in Quebec with no problem for 20 years, but vegan is going to be tough. Bring your Luna bars. Snownyet
I much prefer to eat at the bar downstairs at Richelieu. Not vegan, but more casual and more of a snowmobiler type menu than the upstairs restaurant..
powhd
Thanks again now that east Maine may has all the snow it's gonna be difficult to decide! But the allure of route 3 up to Fairmont from four corners has been an obsession for some time. Is that about three hours? Seeing they have a Holiday express up there. Seeing Anne ski resort from there other side always fascinated me. One last quest for now sorry Change of topic.Anyone going to nh, Maine and Vermont this weekend? Trying to remember what it costs to regy in nh.? Edited January 28, 2015 by powhd
