jak
Anyone done the Gaspe loop recently? We are scheduled to leave 2/22 and am wondering about conditions. Thanks.
Andyman
Just got home yesterday very low snow in the Riviere Renard area and Grand Vallee is bare ground. DO NOT GO THERE. South shore is great and 597/595 awesome. Andy
Snobeeler
Nice pictures Andy. I was there last week and somehow missed the mummy's at Radar Mountain. Is that where those were taken?

ChicChoc trail between 595 and Murdochville. We were the first tracks of the day. Andy
GT Rider
Hi Andy Thanks for the report. My wife and I are headed that way Saturday (Matane). I have a reservation at Auberge Caribou Tuesday the 23rd. I have been looking at the Gaspe trail conditions. http://www.quebectrails.com/web/?page_id=74〈=en Does this look correct to you? Thanks Jim & Gemma
smclelan
Sounds like from Grand Vallee over toward the Caribou is poor. However, it is not the 23rd yet and things can change damatically overnight in the Gaspesie!!

Thanks Jim & Gemma The only thing I can tell you is Grand Vallee is BARE GROUND FOR A COUPLE OF MILES. In the hills away from town is fine but anywhere you have to drop down to sea level it was frozen bare ground. Andy
GT Rider
Thanks Andy. When you stayed at motel Adams was the snow coverage ok? Steven I have read about the famous dumps on the Gaspe. My fingers are crossed.

My fingers are crossed. Jim the trail they use now comes out a short distance form the Adams and the first street you ride on has a snow covered sidewalk but there was bare ground on the last 500 ft or so. Everything else about the hotel was great. Hint leave in the morning either well prior to the 8am rush or wait until everyone is at work as it is hell crossing the streets!
