im4snow
Mark (snow shark) and I arrived in Mont-Laurier yesterday. We met Fuse6 and his son last night at the restaurant. Stated snowing here about 5pm yesterday and as of now I'd guess 4-6" of snow has fallen. We're headed quest to Val Dor and hope to update later tonight Correction: prob 10-12" of powder this AM Edited March 2, 2016 by im4snow
im4snow
From ML headed west in 13/63, then 322 west, then 63W to La Domaine. Snow plentiful but loose. We either broke trail or were 3/ 4 tracks in a single wide trail the whole way. Few too many stucks for me and the base wasn't groomed in a while. Met some guys that just came down 386 from Val Dor and they said just groomed but loose snow.

im4snow
Left La Domaine (not 5 star accmodations) at about -38f. Took 63 west and dropped down to for gas and breakfast at outfitter on 386 just south of 63 (forget it's name). Ran 386 north to Louvicourt......very good to excellent. 83 west to 309N, to 93W into Amos. All excellent. Less fresh snow up here but plenty, and tighter. 260 miles Edited March 4, 2016 by im4snow
im4snow
This am ran from Amos up 307 to 396 to Matagami. Then down 396 to 93 south to Sennetterre. A++ all day. 275 miles.
im4snow
Ok, had some technical difficulties (connectivity) that prevented some trip updates....... but Mark and I returned to the truck mid-day Sunday and arrived home later Sunday evening. More info below..... Trip Summary Awoke Wed AM to about a foot+ of powder in Mont-Laurier Headed west on 13, 322, then on 63. Followed 1-2 tracks in fresh powder.....until they turned around. Long story but lost a lot of time backtracking and generally contending with the level of snow. Just a little of this..... Made it to La Domaine later in the day..... where we had to call it a night....as the next vacant lodging would have been another 150+ miles. Awoke in La Domaine to nearly -40F and pulled out at roughly 7AM. 386 northbound above the 63 (bright sunshine helped a lot but still cold) Went to Amos and stayed at Amosphere. Then off to Matagami Thr AM. 396 enroute to Matagami.... Lunch and fuel at Matagami then back down the eastern side of 396 to finish in Sennetterre 83 Eastbound from Sennetterre started gorgeous.... Early lunch and fuel at Balbuzzard (spelling?) Ran 83 East to Parent, then dropped down on 13S. Deep snow near St Anne du Lac....
