Grampsledder
Started yesterday at the Delta. Good to see Bill and his wife. We headed to KM31 using 83 and the 383. It was snowing with 2-3" of new snow and it was tough to see in the fields. 83 was groomed and in great shape. The 383 was very good also. It was the first time we had taken it. It's a beautiful trail that twists and winds through the lakes and mountains. There was no wind in the ferry crossing and it was like a calm lake. 3 to Sacre Coeur had just been groomed and it was great. 93 to the sharp corner had 4" of new tracked snow. Even though it wasn't groomed it was in good shape. Everything changed at the sharp corner on 93-it was bumped for 25 miles. We met some guys who came over from Alma on 93-same thing. We're going to try the Pelchat trail today.

Grampsledder
Rode from KM 31 today. Took the Pelchat trail to 3,then 93 to the Auberge Carcajou. The Pelchat trail is 100 miles through the wilderness. The first section wasn't groomed but tracked and in good shape. The second half was groomed to perfection. Riding was spectacular , scenery is stunning. Stopped for lunch at the Relais on the trail. Missed Rte 3 so ended up in Les Escouems. 93 had been groomed but it had stutter bumps in some corners. Ending the day with a wonderful dinner at the Carcajou. 245 miles total. Rain forecast today. Decided to stay a second night here, leave our luggage and do some of the orange loops. Thanks for the tip! It's a shame when joints like this don;t pop up on ViaExplora: http://aubergecarcajou.com/en/groups/snowmobilers Gotta love riding commando (no bags) once in a while. Feels naughty when you're used to bringing with.

Grampsledder
Started yesterday when the freezing rain was ending. The machines were coated. Wanted to take the western most orange loop but it was bumped up so we headed for Milot for lunch at Bill's truck stop. The trails were groomed but soft with the warm temps. Lunch was good. Took 93 back to Carcajou. The fields were a sea of white because it was cloudy and it slowed us down, unfortunately. Around 4:30 it started to rain, light at first then it opened up. Thank goodness for waterproof gear. Great dinner last night. We had a good laugh mid day when we came upon old man stuck in a parking lot. He had the guys help him out, pushing first then sitting on the tailgate to weigh the back. Made a great photo. Off to Saint Felicien tonight on 93 around the lake. Grampsledder
Great day yesterday. 210 miles on perfect trails. Did 93 around the lake. The loop is beautiful with straight sections, sweeping turns, and rollers all on the trail. Sun broke out later in the day. The rain didn't hurt the trails at all. Great cover. Lots of riding to be had. Going to shoot for Mt Apica today then back to the Delta. Joining Quebecriders for dinner tonight.
Grampsledder
Great last day. Rode from Saint Felicien to the Delta via Mt Apica. Great riding on 23 down to Apica. The conditions were great. The views were beautiful. The snow was hardpack around Roberval, soft and warm loose granular close to Apica. Finished our night with the Quebecriders group. Had a fun time. Headed back home this morning. Lots of snow up here if you're thinking about a season ending trip. Might start to lose some snow around town with the temps but lots outside town.
