NHsrx701
And the end of the day... ending at a gas station.. after being towed three hundred yards. Yes three hundred! I broke something in the chain case. It is either the chain, the tensioner or the drive shaft! This is the look of being thankful it didn't happen at speed or when I really needed the brakes! Many thanks to Glenn for riding back to the hotel and picking up his truck and trailer to get me back to the hotel!

Jackstraw
And to think people can't wait to ride in December on rocks and mud. Come March with a great base daylight to 7pm, warmer temps nobody to be found. Love March riding! Great pics!

All symptoms sounds to me like a broken drive shaft, breaks just outside of the chain case, mine broke at 22 000 Klms, did some internet research and found several of the Apex driveshaft break around that milage in the same spot. Good luck with the repair, took me an afternoon.

Like Trailblazer, I'd be interested in you reporting back as to what this was. Driveshaft breaks did occur on some RX-1/Apexes but I don't believe I've ever heard of one breaking in a Vector.
